On the heels of yesterday's upfront presentation, ABC has put up short clips of its new fall pilots on their website. All of the shows introduced, including the mid-season replacements, have clips on the site (the soap Dirty Sexy Money has two clips), including a brief scene from the much-anticipated and already-maligned Cavemen.I've got to tell you, that feeling of "blah" I got from the pilot descriptions yesterday didn't go away when I saw the clips. None of them look nearly as compelling as what ABC or the other networks had to offer last year; the clip for Cavemen in particular looked pretty bad. The only one that got me interested in seeing the pilot was the clip for Miss/Guided, which won't even premiere until mid-season.
Oh, well. Like most critics, I'll be getting the rough-cut versions of the pilots soon, so we'll see if my "blah" feeling goes away at that point.

And correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the plotline of "Sam I Am" sound an awful lot like a female led "My Name is Earl"?
And Cavemen? It makes me wish Family Dog was still on...

After what has been shown to us by the networks I think by midseason we will get Law and Order: Parking Tickets and CSI: Mars. All these new shows look bad.

I got to say that looks like a really crappy fall season, if that's what they canceled The Nine and Daybreak for I think they may have made a mistake.
I think i found two shows that i would watch. I have to see what the other networks come out with but i think we've found the worst Fall schedule ever.

The insurance commercials are somewhat funny. This tv show looks plain stupid and will fail. And they are not using the actors from the commercials----doubly stupid. I give it 3 weeks.

I can,t believe abc is putting on the cavemen as a show, it was a dumb commercial and I hated it. Then add insult to injury I find out their taking off my favorite show, The George Lopez Show for this nonsense. His show was about real life, and family and it was funny and sometimes sad, but it was real. I looked forward to this every week. It was a joy to my late husband. He was able to relate to him. I am going to watch another station from now on. They could have shown George Lopez some respect by letting him know, so he could have ended the show his way. At least CBS gave The King of Queens a nice sendoff. Where has loyality gone.
