Dominic MonaghanThis week's Lost audio podcast gave away very few details about the upcoming "Greatest Hits" episode, but hosts Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse did discuss last week's "The Man Behind the Curtain." Dominic Monaghan also touched on his character's potential demise in a short interview. Among the highlights:

  • Dominic Monaghan doesn't mind if his character is killed off.
  • Monaghan doesn't want there to be a typical "Dominic Monaghan part," and makes an effort to play different types of characters.
  • He often gives fellow cast members music advice, and is currently listening to Imogen Heap, Keane, Kasabian, Corinne Bailey Rae, and Ray LaMontagne.
  • A fan recently gave Monaghan a CD of jungle sounds of Borneo.
  • The producers are pleased with the structure and the number of episodes planned for the final three seasons of Lost.
  • Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse hoped that Jacob's appearance would be a "TiVo moment", and believe that they succeeded.
  • Jacob is meant to be more of a Season Four mystery than a Season Three mystery.
  • The rest of the season will focus more on the upcoming confrontation between the Others and the 815ers.
  • According to Ben's claim in "The Man Behind the Curtain," not all of the DHARMA members were purged.
  • Carlton Cuse is willing to bet that Locke is not dead.
  • Ben shot Locke because he was threatened by Locke's special ability (hearing Jacob), and did not want Locke to challenge his leadership.
  • Jacob is not an alien.
  • There will be more DHARMA-related episodes in later seasons. We will eventually see how Dr. Marvin Candle lost his hand.
  • It is possible that that the dark powder around Jacob's cabin keeps him confined to a small area.
  • Annie is another "chapter" of Ben's story, and the character will appear again.
  • During one of the podcast's lighter moments, Lindelof and Cuse named the DHARMA shark Ezra James Sharkington. Spread the word.

"Greatest Hits," the newest Lost episode, airs this Wednesday at 10pm ET on ABC.
