TV Obits: Gibson, Harrington, Ashton

  • Lois Gibson: She was a writer and story editor for such shows as The Fugitive, The Invaders, Quincy, M.E., and The Untouchables. She was also the wife of actor/comic Henry Gibson. She died in Malibu, CA at age 77.
  • Curis Harrington: Harrington directed episodes of such series as The Twilight Zone (80s version), Hotel, Vegas, Wonder Woman, Baretta, and Dynasty, as well as the TV movie The Killer Bees in the 70s. His big screen work included Voyage to the Prehistoric Planet and Whoever Slew Auntie Roo? He died in Hollywood at the age of 80.
  • Al Ashton: He was a British actor who appeared in several TV series, including Mr. Bean, Murder In Mind, Doctors, Urban Gothic, Holby City (which he also wrote) and Tales From The Crypt. He also appeared in such movies as Gladiator and A Fish Called Wanda. Ashton died in England of heart failure at age 49.
