*Warning, spoilers from this week's episode ahead.*
The Bauer family players are back. Jack Bauer will eventually have to face off with Papa Bauer. Chloe and Morris "Drill-Bit" O'Brian are done, I tell you, done! Finis! And as for Milo Pressman, well, let's bow our heads in a moment of silence as Milo joins Curtis, Edgar and the long line of CTUers who've gone to meet their maker.
But before leaving the action-packed 21st hour of 24, here are four more moments to consider:
Quote of note: Jack delivered an impassioned monologue early in the episode, arguing with CTU chief Nadia Yassir that he should be in on the raid of Cheng Zhi's suspected HQ as they sought to re-acquire the Russian defense technology Jack gave them. Included in his argument were these gems, "I caused this mess, let me clean it up," and "Dammit Nadia! You have the authority to let me do this." Alas, Jack's charms didn't move Nadia, and she put him in a time-out in one of CTU's locked interrogation rooms.
Moment of tension between CTU staffers: The waning minutes of the Chloe-Morris-Milo love triangle occurred in this episode when Milo noticed Chloe was upset but she wouldn't explain what was troubling her whirring, machine-like mind. Morris, however chimed in that they'd just "split up" and that it was "pointless being coy about it." Charming chap that Morris.
Quote of note II: Jack's "nephew," Josh Bauer provided some whiny lines this week before he was taken away by his grandpa's henchmen. Included in Josh's repertoire was this, "I wish I was never even born . . . I wish I was never part of this sick family." I second that.
ACLU nightmare moment of the week: After several lean weeks on the ACLU horrors front, this episode offered us with several tantalizing candidates. First up, presidential aide Lisa Miller was forced to seduce (and then sleep with) her turncoat boyfriend while she knew that the chief of staff, Tom Lennox, was watching via a hidden camera. (Lennox threatened her with charges of treason if she didn't go through with it, though I don't think he expected her to have sex with the traitor.) A second possibility for the horrific ACLU moment of the week was the entire hostage-taking scene where Cheng's men opened fire on unsuspecting CTU employees in their own headquarters and then prominently executed Milo when he pretended to be the ranking officer. Lastly, there was Jack who employed a machine gun to mow down several of Cheng's commandos.
But my vote goes for Milo's shooting. 'Cause it was so cold.

No, the ACLU would defend the terrorist's right to express themselves by attacking CTU and shooting Milo in the forhead. It would be argued that they, though here illegaly, have the right to pursue happiness.
In case some right-wing nut would try to arrest them, the ACLU would have them out in minutes, claiming that they were profiled.
Jack would be arrested for interfering with their civil rights/liberties.

One of the first thing I learned in the Army...Never, ever, ever volunteer.
I guess Milo did not serve in the Armed Services!

Milo getting blown away was a shock, I didn't see it coming! Though perhaps I should have seen it after his talk with Nadia. I liked Milo and thought him and Nadia would become an item but seems like Mike and Nadia will get together.
Josh being Jack's son didn't really surprise me that much, I wonder if Marilyn and Jack will become an item then something with Audrey will happen??

Milo wasn't volunteering as much as he was protecting Nadia, who didn't have the balls to say she was in charge.

This year's 24 is too much like all the other 24's with different faces. Same type of plots, same impossible scenarios. We are exhausted from the frenetic pace of being up for 24 hours..AND Jack has a lot of relationships AND we mis the "chloe" face..where is she hiding?
