naked scienceNational Geographic has eight new series (and some returning series) on tap, set to roll out over the next several months.

Inside the Green Berets airs June 3 at 9:00 p.m.

Inside the Taliban airs June 4 at 9:00 p.m.

Critical Situation, a new series that explores how people responded when faced with some of the most dramatic moments in history kicks off June 12 at 9:00 p.m. I'll be posting a preview of this new series soon.

Explorer: FBI Takedown airs June 13 at 8:00 p.m.

Inside Extraordinary Humans, a series of four one-hour episodes including "Science of Dwarfism" and "Science of Giantism," will delve into the lives of the very short and the very tall. The series kicks off in July.

Road to War, a documentary about how the war in Iraq began, will air in August. The special was created by the same team that made Inside 9/11.

Animal Genius, a three-episode series set to air in September looks at the talents of dogs, snakes and hogs. For example, did you know snakes can play the trumpet? I don't know if that's actually true, but if we watch these specials we'll find out.

Lockdown III, a look inside the prison system, also debuts in September.

The third quarter also brings a fourth season of the popular series Naked Science.

Engineering Program kicks off in the fourth quarter with episodes exploring the U.S. highway system and the Los Angeles sewer system.

Other shows on the slate include Science of Superhuman Strength, Science of Steroids and Battle Scene Investigation, a three-episode series focusing on combat through the eyes of the actual soldiers.
