Drive fans: I hope you have TiVo, or some other form of DVR. Fox canceled Drive after airing four episodes, but today the network announced it will air the final two episodes, back-to-back on July 4th. You know... on a day when no one is home to watch television?!? I guess we're lucky the network is even airing them at all.I haven't been able to find any information about what's in these final two episodes, but you can bet that they don't wrap up the series in any way. Creator/executive producer Tim Minear once said that his contingency plan was for an ending at 13 episodes and one at 22 episodes. Nothing has been said about any closure after episode six.

I guess I'm in the minority of people who actually enjoyed this show. But I'll be hard pressed to watch these remaining two episodes, simply because they're not going to deliver any satisfaction -- they're no doubt just the next two eps in the progression of the season. Watching them would just frustrate me in the knowledge that I'll never know what was going on.

What pisses me off isn't the fact that Fox canceled the show, it had bad ratings anyways, its the fact they didn't even order 13 episodes.
It would have been great to have a DVD set with all 13 episodes in it, a true miniseries.

I will watch them. It will be with a bitter taste in my mouth but I will watch them.
After that, fox is being removed from my channel lineup.

I'll definitely be watching those episodes. It'll probably be a bad idea because it'll be left on a cliffhanger.

Fox has really ticked me off with this. They canceled Kitchen Confidential. Fine, it wasn't great, but I enjoyed it.
Arrested Development.
Then Firefly.
Now Drive? What the deuce?
As much as I love 24, Family Guy, etc, I've stopped watching Fox now all together and getting my episodes through other, non-ad-revenue-generating means.
If you do want to see Drive back though, please, go to the Fox forums and post your support there!

I'll watch them, but don't know if I'll ever watch any other new fox shows, they just cancel them anyway.

Who the hell is home on the 4th of July?! Really you pick a summer holiday where everyone is outside! I think FOX is just being an asshole to the creators at this point.

If you are going to bitch and moan about how bad Fox is you should get your info correct. Firefly was canceled before Arrested Development even primered. And once again Arrested Development was give THREEE seasons. No one wanted to watch it. Why make a show no one is watching?!

A real shame. I doubt we'll see a DVD set. As far as I know, only six episodes were completed and, with the series' special effects, its doubtful they'd finish any more just for a DVD release.

well arrested development kept getting bumped and cut back on episodes, so its not fair to say they had a real chance to last, because they didn't.

Talk about adding insult to injury. Well I'll still be DVRing the episodes and praying Nathan Fillion finally finds a series on a good network.

I'm just waiting for the day that I wake up pissed off so I can call the Fox network office and give them a piece of my mind. It's not that Drive was really that good of a show, but I was following the story. Just like with Vanished last year, they set up some deep story line that makes you watch the entire series, they get to the point where something big happens (Vanished had the FBI agent killed, Drive had a partner get shot and the fate of the baby in limbo) and they cancel the show. And like Vanished, they have two episodes to rap up the entire story arc (which they can't) and the end is going to suck. Damn you Fox! If only I wasn't addicted to House and baseball. Wow, I'm wound up.

It's not that Drive was particularly great, I was enjoying it but it was nowhere nere the heights of firefly, wonderfalls or the inside (which I do not understand not getting ratings with the barrage of CSI crap that does well) but there is only so much more I can take of my time being wasted before I don't give anything on Fox a chance..........but then again these are the guys that cancelled family guy........twice.

You know what, F*ck Fox! I don't even want them to show the last two episodes of this show, they aren't worthy to have this good of a show. I would rather they sell the series (including the first 6 episodes) to another network who will give it a decent chance to gain a following. (FX, I'm looking at you)

Yet another show I got into that is cancelled. I'm tired of watching things part way and getting hooked all for the damn networks to take them off the air! I think fox should have given this show a chance....I think more people would have gotten into it. We'll probably end up with some stupid reality show that I won't watch in its place.
