...tonight, on a very special episode of The Simple Life.
OK, maybe they won't make it part of the show, though I wouldn't be surprised if they did. Paris Hilton has been sentenced to 45 days in jail for violating her probation, and being a moron. Well, not that last part, but definitely for violating her probation. She is going to have to show up to jail on June 5, and the judge is not going to let her do a furlough or wear a monitoring bracelet or any other easy way out. Doesn't sound too "hot."
Now comes the part where all of you unleash your comments below and let us know if this is a good thing or not, and make jokes about what jail will be like for Paris Hilton. The jail she's going to is the same place that held O.J. Simpson, and their main meal is usually chicken.

From TMZ:
Former "Lost" star Michelle Rodriguez was sentenced to 60 days in the very same facility in which Paris is scheduled to do time for the very same offense -- probation violation over a DUI conviction. Rodriguez served a grand total of 2 hours before jail officials told her to get lost.
Man, I hope she does the full 45 days. Not seeing or hearing about her will be a great summer!!!

This would be awesome, but I'll believe it when I see it. Somehow I can't see her actually getting forced to go through with this. I mean, all platitudes about how much she deserves this in the karmatic sense, is this really the best way for LA County tax payers to spend their money, paying for Paris Hilton's incarceration?

You are all clearly jealous and full of envy of this nice pretty young girl. You feel great watching her fall. You can only dream of the lifestyle she has. Better yet, you cannot even imagine the life Paris has. All her life she has gotten everything she has ever wanted, not like the rest of people. That’s why you are all so happy to see her come down like this. She is a nice girl that doesn’t deserve 45 days in prison for enjoying herself. Did she kill anyone? Nope. Did she hurt anyone? Nope. Lowlifes like you and the Judge cannot tolerate successful and happy persons. That is why you are so happy to step on Paris. But guess what? She is going to be out of there in 45 days, and you all will have the same kind of lifestyle for life.

Listen I do not hate the women She is a product of her enviorment. But she could of killed someone. And it was not er first offense. if she was not Paris Hilton she would of been serving time way before now Hopefully if she does get to serve even for a week it will serve as a wake up call. She was actually outraged to get time.

You know what.... DUI is a serious offense, I went through it its no joke. She should get the punishment that any other normal person would recieve. Just becuase she is famous doesnt mean she gets to break the law.

The majority of poor people that actually go to jail for convictions like these are also products of their environments. In fact, who isn't a product of their environment? The fact of the matter is, Paris Hilton engaged in reckless behavior that could have threatened other people's lives. Spoiled douchebag or not, why should she get off because people like her (God knows why...) and she has lots of money? And for the people who are bemoaning the imprisonment of a nice, pretty girl...are we talking about the same person?

Only 45 days?
What a shame the jail sentence was not longer.
The DUI laws in this country need not only to be enforced MORE aggressively, but also need to be enhanced.
By doing so, lives will be saved. The innocent victims of the drunk drivers, and heck, even some of the drunk drivers.

Plain simple fact, she broke the law and she violated her parole. She deserves jail time just like anyone else who did the same.
Saying "I'm really sorry. I didn't mean to." wouldn't work for a drunk driver who plowed into an oncoming car killing people, or even a drunk driver who didn't, so why should it work for Hilton? What's wrong with our culture today is that some people think that someone can drive under the influence and it's cool cos she's pretty and nice. I'd hate to be on the same road as her and any of you that think it's fine. She's lucky she didn't kill anyone this time. But what about the next time? Or the time after that if this didn't wake her up?
She didn't shoplift, and she didn't run out on a tab, she put other people's lives at risk. She needs to pay the piper just like I'd expect the regular folk to.
