(S03E16) "So why don't you and your hoopty just move along." - Drama
Johnny (or should I say John Chase?) seems to be consistently getting every funny line Entourage offers lately, and much like Vince feels about Amanda, I sort of like it. Speaking of Amanda, my suspicions were confirmed. She's smitten over her client and while Vince says he feels the same way, I get the impression that Amanda is far more head over heels than Vince is. We've seen Vince get that way with Mandy Moore. He's not even close to that level. She's falling for him, he's still on a high from the single(?) night of sex, and the best part is that their little tryst was only one part of this great episode.
As I've mentioned before, the break between Ari and Vince has done wonders for the show. It's opened up the possibility for so many more story-lines and given far more screen time to people who deserve it. And by "people," I of course mean Drama. We'll get to him, but back to Ari first.
We got another "Ari on his own" plot in this episode. Once again, he and Vince didn't speak at all and I have to say that it's not a bad thing. Ari and his wife made a pretty convincing argument for having their own show in this episode because they owned every scene they were in. This actually may have been the most time Mrs. Ari has been in an episode, not to mention the first full episode where Ari wasn't even in the office once... at least that I can recall. My point is that those two are really good together and it was definitely showcased here. To be honest, Artie Lange guest-starring was obviously supposed to be the big draw and it's what had me excited, but Ari and Mrs. Ari stole the show in that regard. (Random thought... Ari mentioned that Scott (Lange) was ahead of Conan O'Brien at "the Lampoon." Had there ever been a previous mention that Ari had gone to Harvard?)
Back to Drama... best plot we've gotten from him in a while. Just really solid from all points. From Pauly Shore and his wannabe Punk'D rip-off, to the altercation with Chuck Liddell, to Drama being humiliated by Girl Scouts, what didn't this story have? I think my favorite part was when he told Vince that being selected to get "got" on Pauly's show counted as his second pilot of the season.
Now I guess we wait. As much as Amanda acts professional, I think the relationship with Vince is going to become a problem for her before it becomes one for him. Eric knows now, so he'll be on the look-out and I almost wonder if he may be the one to tell Ari in an effort to help get things back on track. Ari may have seriously screwed Vince in the past, but not like Amanda is doing right now. So I'll go with a 6 out 7 only because I predicted Amanda would go all Bambi eyes on Vince. I wouldn't mind seeing her go back to her hard-ass self out of nowhere though. She melted awfully fast. That's what Vince does to the ladies though. No surprises there.

Half an hour is too less for this show....am I the only one who thinks that?
Jeremy Piven gets all the acting accolades for this show but I think that Johnny Chase is definitely the best part of the show.
"Two pilots in one season!"

Another annoying thing is that the seasons are so short and so far between.

He's definitely mentioned the fact that he went to Harvard (he went to Harvard undergraduate, Michigan for his JD/MBA).
Great episode.

I have to admit it always amazes me how quick a half hour this show is. Not as great as the first few seasons, but it still is great!

I've bypassed this show in the past, but the "I feel like Henry Hill" line was so brilliant it's bought my attention for the entire season.

really weak episode. After last week's fun and great stuff from Air, we get nothing but crap in this one. It doesn't even move the story forward. Ugh, sorry I spent the energy to even Tivo it.

Amazing episode. Again. The best 30 minutes of the week.
I really like how the Amanda-Vince-Ari thing is playing out. I think we can all see where it is going--where it will finally end up--but it is terrific fun.
Drama, excuse me, John Chase, was fantastic and Kevin Dillon plays him perfectly.

Although the show only moved the Vince/Amanda storyline forward, which is kinda annoying, this was a seriously funny episode.
Dramas scenes were genius, even though I knew the whole thing was the "got". "YOU GOT 'GOT'!" Hilariously stupid! My favorite character interactions are with Turtle and Drama, although Ari and Mrs. ARi are good too.
The Ari stuff was funny. How jealous he got..genius. It showed that even though he is a hardass, his ego can get bruised easily.
The scene at the restaurant was hilarious because you could see it in Es eyes that he knew that they had sex and he was thinking..."aw ****".
It will be interesting to see how things transpire.

This was a great episode. Can I bring up how smoking hot Mrs. Ari was walking around in her bra?
Who was the actress that played Artie Lang's wife? She looked familiar but maybe it was because she reminded me of the chick who played Shannon on Lost.
Next week is called The Return of the King, can we expect that Ari and Vince reunite?

You can't be serious. This was easily one of the weakest episodes the show has ever produced. Unfunny, unimaginative... just plain dull. I thought I was watching some lame ABC sitcom, not an HBO original. I mean, the "fat college loser turned ladies man"? Haven't we seen that cliched plotline all the way back to Animal House? There was nothing interesting about that at all. And, tell me, who didn't see the "double con" gotcha coming from three miles away. And the payoff, the annoying Paulie Shore yelling "You got got!" over and over again. This episode sucked.
