You knew I'd be the one to tell you this news, right?
Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip returns to the NBC schedule on May 24, presumably to just run the rest of the episodes they have filmed. Hopefully they knew they were ending early while filming so they can end the show in a good way.
By the way, May 24 is a Thursday. The show will air at 10pm in the slot currently occupied by ER. I wonder what would have happened to the show if it had originally been in this slot, or maybe an hour earlier. Oh well. I guess the best way to think of it now is as a long miniseries, one that will have around 22 episodes and a conclusion.

*puts on rose-colored glasses* Maybe it will get decent ratings for the run, and NBC will re-think cancellation ... :)

Simply awesome, this is one of the smartest shows on newtwork TV. I am really glad that they are going to finish off the season. Any word or idea if the show will continue? If not I hope they do not end the show with a cliffhanger. Well that brings the total to 3 (60, Heroes, Scrubs) that I watch on NBC.

Sweet, my favorite show by far! Heroes is a distant second, I still need to catch up on that show... eps 17 and on.

An hour earlier it would have been killed even faster. Grey's Whorefest is on.

I can't wait for this. I was starting to think it will never come back. I wish this was a renewal, but I'll go for anything.

Dorv, it's as good as dead. Just because they are showing the last few episodes doesn't mean it's not canceled.
And the upfronts for the fall season are nrmally the week before.

That's the day after the season ends. The numbers won't matter. This show is toast.

This show turned out to be such a disappointment. When I heard about the new Sorkin show and the cast I knew I was going to love it. I also knew that I'd hate that other "SNL" show 30Rock. What the heck happened?? The opposite occurred.
Anyway, I'll be watching the last eps.

Returning the day after sweeps is over. Ironic that they had so much hope for it a year ago.

Where did we actually learn that it officially isn't coming back next year?

Nice. The finally put it in the slot it should have been in from day one. I don't think they ever gave this show a chance. I know there has never been a definitive word on cancellation, so I have always held out hope that it would still be renewed. Someone like showtime or FX should pick this one up.

Where do we find out that it's canceled? I would have to say Earth. WHEN is about a week before it returns.
And there are 6 unaired episodes? I say they give it 2 episodes and then move it to Saturday and then just never show it at all, like Kidnapped.

This is a great show, a real shame that it got canned. I am looking forward to the last six episodes. I am in the UK, so it will probably never be shown over here at all.
