Vote for the Worst may have lost Sanjaya, but after polling their fans, they've decided to throw their support behind Phil Stacey. Phil gave one of his best performances during last week's country week. But other than that, his singing has been consistently uneven. He's also hampered by his pale looks, and is often compared to Nosferatu or Bat Boy. Phil, no stranger to the bottom three, might just hang on a bit longer with VFTW's support.
- Simon Cowell's London home was ransacked, with thieves making off with jewelry, silver, and electronic equipment. Simon left his house keys with building contractors who were working on his home, which the police called "unwise." Apparently, someone copied the keys and gained access to the house.
- Looks like folks in India were not upset to see Sanjaya finally go. I guess we can put that conspiracy theory to rest. Not that Sanjaya is going to just fade away quietly. The Times of India quoted him as saying, "It's time for an Indian musician to come to the scene and I'd like to be that person."
- McDonald's will be giving out American Idol Happy Meals toys until May 10, 2007. The Idol-inspired Happy Meals and Mighty Kids Meals will feature sunglasses, a portable MP3 toy, and other items slapped with American Idol logos that make "music" when you hit a button. Who exactly is going to be lining up for these toys? Toddlers? Tweens? Anybody? I have a feeling that these items will end up like all the other Happy Meals crap our kids don't need -- tossed into buckets at the bottom of their closets.

We are down to the finals where all are pretty much good singers, although a certain few DO stand out as exceptional. If VFTW stands behind anybody at this point in time, I swear I will never vote again, maybe not even watch the show because it is just too heartbreaking to see the talent and hard work that these kids put forth just to have an asshole like Howard Stern throw it back in their faces. So you don't like Simon, big friggin, deal, this show is NOT about Simon, it's bout giving the kids a chance to realize their dreams. Stern realized his, now its time to back off and give someone else a chance to realize theirs.
I personally stand behind Jordon, and I have since the very beginning. I voted for 2 hours last night and I was only able to get in 9 votes so I'm sure she isn't going anywhere tonight. And as far as lakisha goes, that's just it, she should go. I'm hoping for a Jordon-Blake-Melinda final, with Jordon coming out on top.

I disagree with your optimism. Yes, Jordin has risen to become one of the top three contestants. However, Melinda have remained consistent in her performance throughout the competition. She is definitely the top runner and deserves to win; with Jordin coming in second. No offense.......

I am voting for the best: "Jordin"! No one can come close to her. I was a Sanjaya voter and now it is Jordin since I heard her sing, "When You Walk Thru A Storm", last night. But all of em are good and very talented singers.
When Jordin began singing last night I was totally entranced with her till I knew I was seeing and hearing a new SUPER STAR of all times reviving a 60 yr. old song. Simon is correct when he said she could make a num. 1 hit from that song.

I thought AI was turning into a joke with Sanj. But my faith in the show has now been restored with Jordan. I did think Lakisha was going to go far but I think she got to confident and lost what she had. I think Jordan should win. She gave me goose bumps and brought tears to my eyes. If we're going for real talent, she will win. Don't get me wrong the others are good but not as good as her. As for Melinda, I think she is great but boring. Most of the songs she sings are slow, unexciting, and I don't look forward to her singing, like I do the others. I really enjoyed Blake but even he has changed his manner of singing, and I don't look forward to hearing him anymore either. But I really look forward to hearing what Jordan is going to sing. Everyone needs to remember Jordan is only 17, how many 17 yr. olds do you hear that can sing like her, not anyone I've ever heard. I think she would make a great AI, as good as Carrie.

Melinda has the ability to make every song a beautiful story from the soul. No matter the style of the song she can make you feel each and every word and feeling.
Jordin is excellent for 17 and will go far, but Melinda has a talent that very few are blessed with and never has there been a contestant that deserved to be The American Idol than she. She is what music is all about.

Jordin has the widest mass appeal of all and is believable singing anything and shows inner confidence that should be a role model to all teenage girls. Melinda HAS an excellent voice but just does not exude confidence. After the two of them nothing else really matters.

Melinda has the best vocals, stage presence, and performances that I've seen on American Idol in a very long time. Hands down - she should win this competition. Others have good voices, but not the total package like Melinda. She really delivers! I hope she wins.

A nice, exciting touch to the end of the show last night---
no one gets voted off. Actually, it was a just decision by the A>I> producers because NO ONE deserves the boot.
And what is all this talk about the new consensus of opinion that Phil Stacy should be the next to go? Poppycock!
Stacy is a fine singer and SO WHAT if he is not a matinee
idol? Ruben was never the most sleek and elegant creature but voters wisely gave more credence to his vocal ability than to his girth. Voters should not get caught up in all this phony-baloney need for ersatz outward beauty and focus more on the good voice than comes from within. The bottom line is--and should be--
that Stacy is a truly superb singer and SHOULD STAY around until....well, until Miss Doolittle rightfully takes her place as the next American Idol. The Elvis-Celine Dion duet was also terrific and maybe younger viewers can
appreciate what a real American Idol loks like. The King
is still alive!

If people let judges remarks make their decisson on who to vote for then they need not vote for they have no brain. You have ears so listen and use your own judgement.

Talk about boring someone needs to give Paula a drink or something to wake her up. I can't believe she gets paid to set there and just agree with Randy on every singer. They should just donate her pay to charity.

Although the other Idol contestants are good, Melinda is the best American Idol contestant, ever! She does not lack confidence but is just humble. Believe me, this girl knows what good is and she is definitely that!

Although Sanji. was a big joke on the show, and definitely could not sing, I felt sorry for him when he was voted off, he is cute and the youngters loved him, maybe he will make in the music industry. Pearl

i don't like melinda. i think she's faking her humility. she always acts surprised when the judges commend her singing. i like sanjaya because he's truly humble. he took the negative critiques in stride. i'm rooting for blake. i've always liked his contemporary hip style.
