We've know for awhile now that FOX and NBC had plans to stream full-episodes via a new venture that was being dubbed a "YouTube killer." Recently it was announced that some of content would be streamed through comcast.net and fancast.com, and other "distribution sites" including AOL (which owns TV Squad), MSN and Yahoo.
To me, the smartest application of this new service is the utilization of the News Corp-owned MySpace. FOX is already using the social networking site to stream full episodes, but under this new deal MySpace users will also be able to host the episodes on their homepages, essentially providing free promotions for those shows. I think that's a great idea; if I like a show enough, I'm more than happy to slap it up on my MySpace and let other people know about it.
However, not everyone feels this is such a good idea. Sarah Tomassi Lindman of teen network The N says MySpace is too "cluttered" for anyone to get their message through.
That may be, but I say the more content (especially full episodes) made available online, the better. What do you guys think?

I watch as much TV online these days as not and was a big fan of Fox's MySpace setup ... until I got my new laptop and found Fox (and the CW) can still not handle Vista. Sorry *Bones*! Sorry *Everybody Hates Chris*!
