We told you recently that the search for the new host for CBS' The Price Is Right was down to three people: Mario Lopez, George Hamilton, and Entertainment Tonight host Mark Steines. Now it looks like another celeb has become the front-runner.
John O'Hurley, Mr. Peterman on Seinfeld and current host of Family Feud, supposedly wowed producers with his audition and just might get the gig. Of course, this could all be just talk from publicists -- who knows -- but since he did audition and currently hosts another game show, it's not out of the question. Sources say that Hamilton is no longer in the running but Todd Newton might be.
I like O'Hurley, and I think I've only seen about 12 seconds of his hosting Family Feud so I don't know how he'd do. Readers?

At BuzzerBlog, we are really pulling for John O'Hurley. He turned Feud around from an awful show to something really good suddenly, and he's better than any choice named so far. He's funny, charistmatic, quick on his feet, makes the contestants the stars, and is really the best game show host that's come along in a long time. However, I'm getting friggin sick of all of this. That's why we've named Frankenberry as the new TPiR host.

Why wasn't this turned into a reality show?

I was thinknig the same thing Danny. Find some people that would be good and in the summer have a special where the hosts would tape a 30 minute version of the show. 8 contests three nights a week, it would be great. Plus it would be the summertime too so why not?

Are you kidding? John O'Hurley is the man. Him hosting the Price is Right would only be a bad thing in the sense that it would take time that he could be using to do other even more awesome things.

Someone should think about asking David Spade to host TPIR. He's incredibly funny and sarcastic, yet charming!
David would rock the house!

John o Hurley comes out to the private course I work for as a Caddy each year... He hosts the celebrity golf tournament... Anyways I caddied for him this year... Struck up conversations about the family feud since I think he does such a great job hosting that show... He brought up to me that there had been interest shown in him to replace bob barker's shoes... However, I kinda got the feeling from him that he isn't going to take the opportunity... I don't wish to quote anything... I told him I thought it would fit him well and I love the show... anyways thats my two cents

John O'Hurley is the perfect choice, his personality as shown on Sinfield is the type of individual we need to replace Bob. The latest news talks about rosie o donnell as the host would be a wrong move as she would not project the same image as Bob worked so many years to set as a standard. Lets all back John and keep our fingers crossed.

I think John O'Hurley would be a perfect fit for the Price is Right. I had thought Rosie, but after John's name came up. He's the one. He is terrific on Family Feud and would add his warmth and sense of humor to the job And his good looks don't hurt!

I don't watch Family Feud, but I've seen John O'Hurly in other programs and think he would be perfect for the Price is Right. He has elegance and presence and would be a good fit for Bob Barker's shoes. Rosie has neither. If she were hosting, I would stop watching the show.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME????? lol...John O'Hurley is the ONLY choice for TPIR. He is a natural on Family Feud, and would be equally as fabulous on TPIR. Part of the success of the show has been Bob Barker himself and his good looks and devilish smile. Well, guess what....John O'Hurley has a lot of the same good qualities which would continue to make the show succeed....just my 2 cents.... BTW, I hope he's just being coy when he indicated he might not take the gig.

I think the answer to the new Price is Right host is John O'Hurley! We want someone sorta like Bob, but better. We are used to someone with class & style, yet funny. And, John is that and more, he's perfect, not Rosie, she is crued and mean looking all the time, just watch the View. What is Barbara Walters thinking now? She is probably hoping that Rosie is chosen for the new host, oh my god don't due that to a legend.

I think John O'Hurley would be a great host for The Price is Right. As much as I like Bob Barker, I do believe he would get a lot more kisses. He has class, style, is funny and so very handsome.

Would think TPIR might pay well, but be too boring for John O'Hurley. Same old dialog. At least on the Feud he has more choices for comments. However, if they pick Rosie we will stop watching.

Mark Steines of Entertainment tonight is the only logical choice to host Price is right simply because Bob Goen who was also on Entertainment tonight hosted Wheel of Fortune before he started as host of ET, John O Hurley Should not become the host of the price is right simply because he is already the host of Family Feud, The Price is Right needs some one young and fresh and new, John O Hurley is anything but Young he might be fresh but i doubt he wil be young and New. I wish the producers at TPIR would give the viewers more of a chance to say who they want to be the new host of the Price is Right .Personally i think If Bob Goen hosted Wheel and was on Entertainment tonight why not give another ET reporter a shot at becoming a game show host besides i will not watch if John O Hurley becomes the host of the price is right John O Hurley will be just as boring as Bob Barker as if Bob didnt get on my nerves enough when someone would win and he knew they would win but yet stall and make the contestant wait. I feel John would do the same way and i just cant stand another Price is right host like Bob Barker

Oh come on. How could ya'll want John O'Hurley. I do not like that guy..I mean come on..look what he did to Dancing With The Stars..he had to be a baby about it and couldn't handle loosing..I just don't like him. Plus he is doing Family Feud so he won't get it. Anybody but him or Rosie O'Donnel would be good.
