The Amazing Race All-Stars: "We Are Trying to Make Love, Not War"

oswald; danny(S11E10) So much of this season has been about jockeying for position on flights and very little has been about challenges. Finally, after we spent a lot of time in the airport at the beginning of the episode, we got to see some really cool challenges. The first Detour was Lost in Translation or Kung Fu Fighting-- with ninjas! I would've chosen that, too. The challenges, unfortunately, were super simple for everybody, but at least they were entertaining to wtch.

This week, teams flew more than 1,500 miles from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to Hong Kong.

*SPOILERS AHEAD*

Oswald & Danny [1]: I think Oswald and Danny have a real shot at winning this thing. Besides their meltdown last week, they have really been able to keep their cool during stressful times. They were very innovative this week when they found offices for Malaysia and China airlines before the counters actually opened. That jump on the other teams got them an exciting Fast Forward and an easy first place (along with a pretty sweet prize package for the Chinese New Year).

Charla & Mirna [3]: These two made two big mistakes in their race this week, which I found ironic. Mirna was talking about bad karma for the beauty queens because they Yielded Eric & Danielle last week, but Mirna is the one with all the negative energy in this game. She butts in on other people and tries to get ahead of them in line at the airport and then gets completely offended when other people try it. I'm so tired of her. On the flip side, it was great to see Charla excel at the climbing/ninja challenge when both she and Mirna were a little concerned about it. She kicked Danielle's ass!

Eric & Danielle [4]: Ah, frick! These two don't deserve to be in the race any longer. They had both given up on this face and were fine with being eliminated and seemed a little disappointed that it was a non-elimination round. I had a feeling that was going to happen, by the way, because there are still two more episodes left and the final episode is usually the top three teams.

Dustin & Kandice [2]: The advantage that the beauty queens have is they make decisions quickly and they stick to them. This week, that's how they got ahead of Charla and Mirna during the Detour. All the talk of "karma" at the beginning of the episode was a bunch of crap and I'm glad the beauty queens didn't let it get to them. I sure would like to see these two in the final three.

4 Next week: Another Yield. Revenge!

I'm giving this one a 4. Learn more about the ratings here.
