The MuppetCast is not a podcast created by the Jim Henson company like the one I mentioned back in August, but rather a simple love letter to the Muppets from Steve Swanson, a longtime fan. In many ways, that makes it better than the other, "official" podcast because it's not simply a plug for upcoming projects from Jim Henson Studios. There's nothing wrong with updates on what's happening, but it's cool for a Muppet fanatic like myself to sit back and listen to someone who loves them as much as I do.
In the first podcast, Swanson talks about the merger between Disney and The Muppets, and comes to the conclusion that the Muppets can inspire young kids today just as much as they inspired those of us who grew up with them. It's a sentiment I mostly agree with, though I think the Muppets lost that certain je nais se quoi when Jim Henson passed away, and that's something I have difficultly overlooking.
Swanson also talks about the Muppet Mobile Lab at Disney. I've posted video of the Lab below.

Where was Dr. Bodson Huneydew & Beaker in this video when
they were talking about Muppet Mobile Labs? I missed out on
Kermit The Frog's ill-faded 50'th anniversary Tour relaunching
The Muppets brand. I wanted to see all of them in person at
The Statue Of Liberty in New York City, so I could represent
for the entire cast of Sesame Street on their behalf. However,
when Sesame Street turns 40 years old, there's no way I'm
going to miss out on my dream of a lifetime, to meet the entire
cast (Muppet & human, Past and Present) of Sesame Street.
If Dr. Huneydew & Beaker are coming to Baltimore MD. anytime
soon, even if it's just to promote Muppet Mobile Labs, I'd like to
meet them, so any further information would be appreciated.
Love your inventions, Huneydew, and to Beaker, Mee, Meep!
RICK.
