TV Shows on DVD points to this survey being conducted by Warner Classic Animation asking potential buyers which series they'd like to see on DVD. Some of the titles listed include Tiny Toon Adventures, Freakazoid, Pac Man, Plastic Man, The Jetsons ('80s version) and Johnny Quest ('80s version).
Which series fans choose will no doubt come down to how old you are. In that case, I'd love to see Tiny Toons and Freakazoid both released on DVD. Despite some purists who felt the shows were too gimmicky and weren't made in the same spirit as the classic Warner Bros cartoons they claimed to emulate, I still found them enjoyable as a youngster, and I think little kids who missed out on those shows would love them. I'll admit that nothing can compare to the old Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies, but I'd also be lying if I said Tiny Toons didn't provide me with a lot of laughs throughout junior high.
Anyway, head on over and take the survey. You'll get a nice five dollar coupon for your effort, too. No kidding.

Freakazoid alone should be placed in the national archives or something. If it makes it to DVD I will be a very very happy man.

I think Histeria! was one of the best cartoons on the WB. I remember being a bit older than the target audience, and laughing my head off. It was also really historically accurate, despite the lunatic twist on it all.

I'd buy Freakazoid! if it were on DVD even though all my kids remember about that show is how to say, "Who cut the cheese?" in French. I really loved that toon.

Animaniacs is already on dvd for a small fortune! I love the WB cartoons, but unless the $$$ comes way down, you can keep them.

OK, let's clarify everything here. The first two volumes of both Animanacs and Pinky and the Brain have already been released. There will be four total volumes for Animaniacs and three for Pinky and the Brain.
Each set has been availavle for around $29.99 on the day they were released, hardly a "small fortune." The pricing is right in line with other comparable DVD releases. Retailers often discount new releases for a short time then raise the prices afterward as sales slow and the product just takes up more space on the shelves.
It is likely that volumes 1 & 2 of both will be discounted again when the volumes 3's are released on June 19. Amazon has used copies listed as low as $22.62 and you never know what's going to be available on Ebay.
That said, cast another vote for Freakazoid. I must own it.
