*Warning, spoilers ahead from the recent episode.*
Yeah, I know all of those who haven't yet watched the recent episode of 24 on their TiVos or DVRs are going to be upset about this post, but it's about THE issue that's been lingering in the air following the final moments of hour 17:
Audrey Raines is alive. And being held hostage. After an avalanche of complaints about this season (including from me), does this turn of events please you?
Show executive producer Evan Katz told USA Today that bringing back Jack Bauer's great love "takes the story in a radical direction." He apparently felt as though they'd "stuck with the suitcase nukes a relatively long time for us."
I'd say. Considering the story propelling this season was finding the location of those bombs that terrorists were squiring around Los Angeles -- following the detonation of a nuke in Valencia -- refocusing the attention on Audrey is indeed quite a change. Whether this is a change for the better remains to be seen.
This could be just the injection of life this season needs, provided it doesn't spiral out of control and characters start acting, well, out of character. (I'm still holding out hope that the Logans will return and that President Logan somehow survived the great post-fruit-chopping incident.)
So, are you welcoming Audrey back to the 24 family with open arms, or do you see this as the beginning of the end?

I'm glad she's back. She's the only love interests of Jack aside from Nina and Teri who's been remotely interesting and one of the few females on this show that isn't evil or annoying.
So bring on Audrey.

Meredith-Logan WILL return. Bank on it. My theory:he wasn't really stabbed by Martha-they needed to stage his disappearance (or his death) for several hours. Why? Because he's going to rat out, or he already ratted out, the people who were pulling his strings in the previous seasons.
I suspect that the tail end of this season is going to be a logjam. In contrast to the first sixteen episodes, which were slower and more nuanced than the fans like, the final eight episodes (starting with Monday's) will over-compensate. I just read an interview with Manny Coto, who said that the season finale was extraordinarily hard to write. I'll bet it was. They're going to have to cram a lot of explanation about what this season was about in a couple of hours. I hope they can do it and make it believeable. And satisfy the fans.
