"Left Behind" was a little light on the Easter eggs this week. However, there were some thought-provoking clues thrown in between the chick fights and monster appearances.
Lost Library: As mentioned in the recap, Sawyer was back to reading Watership Down again. The book was last seen back in Season One's "Confidence Man." Perhaps he misses that poor, Ben-tortured bunny from Hydra Island?
An entirely fake book also showed up on the beach. Claire was seen reading a book called Rick Romer's Vision of Astrology. The book may not exist, but Rick Romer does. Romer is one of the set decorators for Lost. For my money, this is one of the funnier "book" choices featured on the island. I cannot wait to see someone reading Damon Lindelof's Guide to Australia.
The Numbers: Juliet revealed more than her knowledge of the Smoke Monster when she activated the sonic fence. If you look closely, you can see her entering the numbers 16 and 23 onto the keypad.
Games: Locke may have more in common with the Others than we thought. In addition to the backgammon set, the board game Mouse Trap was visible in the background of Kate's game room jail cell. Could this be a sign that a trap has been set for of the crash survivors? More than a few fans suspect Juliet's desire to join the Lost gang. Mouse Trap appeared in the episode "Deus Ex Machina," just before Locke got conned out of his kidney.
Happy hunting for this week's episode, "One of Us"!

*sigh*
Those numbers are getting so goddamn old although I have to admit she really punches in 1-6 with her left hand and 2-3 with her right.

Oh I forgot:
The games are a hint on how the survivors can get home: they simply have to go in even pairs of ones, twos, threes, fours, fives, or sixes. As long as they go back home in pairs they can keep on going home without the others interfering.
You know... backgammon rules.
This is so ridiculous... mousetrap as a hint for a trap. Man. Get a life.

I watch every episode. and still couldn't explain the show to anyone. But I love it. That Island is my idea of Paradise.

Not just Juliet. Jack and Juliet are in on this 'trap'.
