I'm torn: is a reality show about divorcees helping their ex-spouses find a new love really uplifting or really creepy and disturbing?
I guess it doesn't matter what I think, because Bravo has given the "go ahead" to Take My Ex, a new reality series pilot in which divorced couples help their former spouses find love again. After all, who better to find you the man or woman of your dreams than the person you divorced because they themselves couldn't meet your emotional needs?
I've never been married, and any relationship I've had that was worth anything ended amicably, but even in those situations I never felt the slightest compulsion to help them find someone new. Sorry, baby, I gots to look out for me and only me. This pig only has time to dig up his own truffles, knowhatI'msayin'?
On a more serious note, the show might work if it shows couples who, despite their differences, still respect each other and want to make sure each other are happy. But will that make for entertaining television? I guess we'll find out when the show airs.

1. It all depends on how you look at it...It would be great if the show could be a good example for viewers in a similar situation, but that may be asking for too much...Should be fun.
