The Hollywood Reporter has the scoop on some fresh casting for upcoming pilots. Here's what's happening:
David Cross (Arrested Development) and Erika Christensen (Six Degrees) have been added to the new comedy pilot for CBS starring Jason Biggs titled I'm in Hell. Biggs plays a Wall Street big wig sent to Hell on Earth after a fatal car crash where he's forced to live without the benefits of his swanky lifestyle. Cross will play a devil.
Lisa Tucker of American Idol will star in the primetime soap pilot Born in the USA. The series takes place in Philadelphia and focuses on the issues dealt with by blue collar families.
Lastly, the CW comedy pilot Dash 4 Cash has added Janina Gavankar to the series. The fictional series focuses on a reality racing competition.
Between The Amazing Race and the upcoming Drive, I think we have enough shows about people racing against one another, so unless Dash 4 Cash takes it in some entirely new and interesting direction, I'll probably sit that one out. As far as I'm in Hell in concerned, I'm torn between my admiration for David Cross and my general disinterest in CBS' programming. I think it'll come down to whether Cross chose the project because it's actually good (Arrested Development) or because it's another paycheck (Oliver Beene).

Fatal car crash! Hilarious!
But seriously, this is what we call "comedy" these days?

haha! i love the premise of Life in Hell, it sounds like the odd couple but zanier. I just really hope they let Cross and the others stretch their improv muscles a little bit. Not as much as AD, but just a little bit every now and then can't hurt.
