Elizabeth MitchellThe newest Lost audio podcast is up and running on ABC's website. Special guests Adam Horowitz and Eddie Kitsis filled in for Damon Lindelof this week (Carlton Cuse co-hosted). Horowitz and Kitsis are the writers behind last week's Nikki and Paulo episode, along with many other Lost episodes. Cast member Elizabeth Mitchell gave a brief interview about her character, and the writers answered fans' questions. The following details were revealed:

  • Elizabeth Mitchell always suspected that Juliet was "brilliant," and that the character's strength had grown since she arrived on the island. She finds Juliet's development "fascinating."
  • The actress had been told early on that Juliet had not always lived on the island.
  • Carlton Cuse brought writer-producers Adam Horowitz and Eddie Kitsis onto Lost midway into Season One. Cuse had worked with the writers on a short-lived WB show and admired their abilities.
  • Kitsis and Horowtiz said that "Exposé" was their favorite episode out of all of the episodes that they had worked on this season.
  • The writers had discussed the idea of having a crash survivor who was an actress while making Season One.
  • One early idea regarding the TV show storyline was to have an episode of Exposé make up most of a Lost episode. The revelation that Nikki was an actress, and that the events of Exposé were part of a TV show, would have happened at the episode's end.
  • Locke was watching an Exposé episode during "The Man From Tallahassee."
  • The part-within-a-part of Mr. LaShade had always been intended for Billy Dee Williams. Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse initially played a joke on Kitsis and Horowitz by telling them that Williams had passed on the part.
  • The smoke monster will appear in this week's newest episode. Juliet and Kate will also be handcuffed together.
  • Final Ruling: The man falling outside of Hurley's accountant's office window was not John Locke.
  • Rose and Bernard will appear in an episode this season, and they will get a significant storyline.
  • The beach survivors may celebrate Christmas at some point during Season Four.
  • The Cooper-Locke twist will be revisited in an episode to air in late April or early May.
  • According to Carlton Cuse, Locke believes that Ben's reliance on The Barracks' technology is weakening his connection to the island.
