My favorite moment on the shield was when after the grenade goes off Lem is still alive and looks up at Shane with a realization of what just happened to him.

I think my favorite scene is the one at the end of season 1, when Vic realizes his wife was gone and had taken the kids, and he slowly and methodically destroyed his house.
Love The Shield. It's the best show on TV, and I'm anxiously awaiting the new episodes.

The money train ripoff season ender - when Vic catches up with his team and they've got the money spread out on a table. He's thrilled and excited, but all of them have had a few minutes to contemplate exactly what they've done. This is the true beginning of the end - the point of no return!

The sheer brutality of the scene with the gang member getting his face burned on the stove. That's when I knew that this wasn't Law & Order I was watching...

Glad I'm not the first person to mention it, so I don't feel like a sicko (or at least I don't feel like the *only* sicko), but Dutch killing that cat was just awesome. Creepy/chilling/gross and all that, but still awesome.

My favorite is actually from season 5, the moment when Kavanaugh "busts" Vic and the strike team's "illegal deal," only to find out it was a sting that he has now ruined.

For me, it was right at the very beginning, when Vic shot a fellow cop in the face and made it look like the perp did it. I knew then it would be anything goes with this show....

Favorite moment: when Kavanaugh asks his ex-wife if she's seen Vic by holding up a pic of him. Kavanaugh asks what happened when Vic was there and she says "well - he made me come, that's what happened" The look on K's face - priceless.

From the pilot, when Vic says "Good cop and bad cop left for the day, I'm a whole different kind of cop" and specifically when he starts pulling his tools of persuasion out of the paper bag, such as a phone book, lighter and bottle of whiskey.
