TV Squad blogger: Jen Creer

jen creerWhere do you write from?
A town you've never heard of in a state you wouldn't want to live in. Fortunately, the Internet makes that irrelevant. For all you know, I am everywhere. I am sitting right next to you in the coffee shop, watching you read this.

Craziest/funniest TV Squad comment you've seen?

The recent one about the Digital Monkeys calling for Anderson Cooper to commit The Blessed Suicide was right up there.

If you were only able to watch one TV show, what would it be?
Thirtysomething. I can feel all of my coolness getting sucked out of the room. But of course, it's the one show in the universe not available on DVD. Well, that and China Beach.

Most overrated and underrated TV show (current or past)?
Most overrated? Desperate Housewives. I reviewed it last year, and then stopped because I didn't want to have to watch it anymore. I would say American Idol or Dancing With the Stars or The Bachelor, but that would probably require me to watch an actual episode, and that would make my head spin off and would leave my children orphans, so I am just going to stick with DH.
Underrated? I just watched the entire season of the recently-canceled Journeyman and I was so sad that it's gone now.

Best benefit of writing for TV Squad?
I recently met Jon Weller, an actor on CSI, and I told him that I write for TV Squad and he said, "I know that blog!" It's an amazing thing when you realize that [some] people in the industry actually read our stuff. Seeing the outpouring of love for Adam Finley from the folks at Adult Swim was incredibly moving. It's kind of the next best thing to being in the industry: from time to time, we get to touch it.

Where else can we see you on the web?
Wait... there are other places on the web besides TV Squad? You can try me here: http://jenorama.com or here: http://editrx.com.
