Where do you write from?My computer chair, which usually sits somewhere in central Mass.
Craziest/funniest TV Squad comment you've seen?
I haven't been writing for TV Squad too long, but it would have to be the comments I received on my Why am I not allowed to watch Bones? post. Not only was my husband accused of being abusive because I couldn't watch what I wanted on TV (which I really can; he just won't watch with me, and since I go to bed much earlier than he does, it doesn't leave me any time to watch Bones!), but he was also accused of keeping me from doing my job, which is essentially to watch TV and write about it. The funniest part of all of this? My husband is my TV Squad boss!
If you were only able to watch one TV show, what would it be?
I hate superlative questions! If a current show, I'd say Dexter; so smart, clever, unique and witty. A past show, Buffy. Buffy. Buffy. Did I say Buffy?
Most overrated and underrated TV show (current or past)?
Overrated? Right now I would have to say Lost, because although it started out with promise, it has fizzled into a self-indulgent show that doesn't even throw a bone to the audience, it is soooooo slow.
Underrated? Gotta join my husband here and say Keen Eddie, which deserved far more than half a season and was probably just too darned smart for most of its viewers.
Best benefit of writing for TV Squad?
I get to write original content about shows and ideas I am passionate about. Then, I get to see what others have to say about it, which I am enjoying as much as the writing part.
Where else can we see you on the web?
I write regularly for DIY Life and am also a co-editor over there, and I occasionally post for That's Fit too. I run a business making all-natural soaps and other body products and beaded jewelry, at Debra's Rhapsody. In my column at DIY Life, The Scentual Life, I share my expertise and you'll also find lots of jewelry designs there as well. I have a very underused blog for my business, Debra's Rhapsodies.

Hey Debra,
My name is Jackie, and I was just browsing around your fansite which is awesome – I’m a huge Dexter addict too! I work for a website called Fanista and we've just launched a campaign called Burma: It Can't wait with the US Campaign for Burma and the Human Rights Action Center. Julie Benz graciously did a REALLY amazing short film spot for us which went live this morning - we are trying to raise awareness of the atrocities going down in Burma (70,000 child soldiers, 2x more villages burned than in Darfur, torture and massacre of monks, systematic rape – and that was before yesterday’s cyclone, which killed at least 10,000 ppl and yet the dictatorship is refusing to allow international aid in.) So we came up with the idea to get 30 celebrities to be in 30 short films rolling out over the month of May. In addition to Julie's, also up are Jennifer Aniston & Woody Harrelson, Will Ferrell, Sarah Silverman, and Jason Biggs (coming up this week are Eddie Izzard, Ellen Page, etc. - it is a really cool campaign.) Julie’s spot is a stop-motion piece that plays off the fact that Burma is the same size as Texas.
I was wondering if you could embed the youtube video:
and/or link to the campaign site, which is at http://www.burmaitcantwait.org
It would really help us out, and I also think this is a great performance by Julie.
Thank you so much!
Jackie
