The Daily Show: March 28, 2007

Jon Stewart"Furious George": George Bush and deadlines are not very good friends. Resident Expert John Hodgman stopped by to talk about "executive privilege". I felt like I haven't seen Mr. Hodgman in forever. The void in my life has finally been filled, if only for the moment. I really liked the Garfield joke and "What? Too soon?"... The secretly recorded audio was wonderfully done, as well.

"Wilmore/Oliver Investigates": Wow. WOW. This was absolutely amazing... and possibly even an instant classic. I never would have imagined Larry Wilmore and John Oliver teaming up to do a report. What a beautiful odd couple! The "n-word" was a fantastic subject for the two of them to tackle, but I'm very interested in seeing what other things they can talk about, using their strange chemistry to their advantage. However, I must admit that I'm having a difficult time trying to imagine another subject that would be as effective. Is "Wilmore/Oliver Investigates" the new "Even Stephven" (with Stephen Colbert and Steve Carell)? By the way, this is working out so much better than John Oliver's last attempt at a team-up, with Dave Gorman in "Con-TROV-ersy". Sorry, Mr. Poll-Smoker.

The night's guest was Bill Richardson, governor of New Mexico and author of Between Worlds: The Making of an American Life. He's also running for President, but I don't really think that matters now, because announcing anything on The Daily Show is pretty much a kiss of death. The interview was pretty interesting, though.

Jon/Stephen: Stephen Colbert's "n-word" is "Narnia". "Narnia, please!" Moment of Zen: Nancy Pelosi is all like, "Whatever, Georgie. There's a new Congress in town."
