(S02E19) That wasn't much of a finale, was it? You can definitely tell that there were a couple more episodes that were meant to be and this one just got tweaked a little. I'm not sure how much else could have changed had we gotten a full 22 installments, but you never know.
As I expected, Dave and Deena's impromptu wedding become the focal point of the episode, while everyone else just ran around like chickens with their heads cut off. That's one of the things you still gotta love about this show. No matter what else is going on, it always boils down to who's sleeping with who.
There's not much left for speculation though if you think about it. Dave and Deena are back together. Jimmy and Ivy are solid. Adam seems to be heading down the straight and narrow path with Natasha, but it does seem like Nic may have some sort of feelings for him. So who knows... Adam may end up sleeping with Brian's sister again. Is it that big a deal though?
Then there was the cliffhanger. Or lack there of. I'm sorry, but it does not count as a cliffhanger when you know the outcome! Of course Brian is going to end up with Laura. That's been the obvious choice since the beginning. As Stephanie proved with her horrendous babysitting skills, she's not much more than eye-candy. Laura on the other hand is the total package and Brian finally figured out what we all knew.
There are lots of things that I think could have made this episode much better and they obviously all involve bringing back characters -- just not Marjorie. She's got not value to the story at this point. What if Brian's dad returned from his evading the IRS world tour? For someone that bankrupted a huge company, that story got dropped awfully fast. Or what about Briget? I always thought she was going to end up pregnant and this would have been the perfect episode to let that one out? Then there's my pipe dream. What if Angelo wasn't dead? If he showed up, now that would have been a cliffhanger.
But the real issue at hand is does any of that matter? No word on whether or not we're going to get a third season of What About Brian. As I said, there's some questions but my gut says ABC isn't going to give us the answers. Why else chop off three episodes? Shows that are doing well, shows that a network is behind, don't get cut short like that.

my local ABC station had a problem with the broadcasting feed so it had to reschedule the broadcast at a later date (the dancing show preceding was broadcasting just fine)...to think this kind of technical difficulties happened on the night of the potential series finale...poor brian.

I have been a fan of this show since the beginning and hope that ABC will let it continue. Last night's show was good, but could have been better. It leaves alot of unanswered questions about the characters and hopefully we will be able to get it again next year.

What about a proper and (satisfying) series finale?
If that was the series finale, that was completely lame.
We all know that ABC has made its decision to keep it or axe it by now; have the balls and the courtesy to your audience and give it a proper send-off.

I don't understand why this show isn't more popular. I love the characters, and it's well-acted. Even though that episode wasn't very finale-y, I enjoyed it. This show rarely lets me down, so hopefully it'll get a 3rd season, maybe in a great time slot so more people can "discover" it.

I'm sad if the show doesn't come back - and I don't hold out hopes that it will. I think it would have gotten guys to watch it *with their girlfriends* if they knew about it as the guys on the show are so GUYS and there was an awful lot of eye-candy. Plus, the writing was lots of fun. Unlike the reviewer who seems to forget about the show, I look forward to it every week!

I just want to say I hope ABC reconsiders before cancelling this show. They're very view shows I watch but this is one I really like and look forward to watching on Monday nights. CSI Miami has become old and it was nice to have a show come on that pretains to friends and there day to day lives.

I think it is a fun show and I will continue to watch if it comes back on BUT...I think they got worried about ratings and started throwing random good looking girls in to save the show...nothing against GGG's but it started to seem contrived at that point and before that it felt very original with great characters. I think Deena and dave are both really good actors and likable characters.

I am so sick of reality shows. Why can't you axe Dancing with the Stars and The Bachelor? Oh they get good ratings :( Who cares they suck and have been done ad nauseam. Get on a new track and keep the good shows.
