Rosie O'Donnell recently revealed that she has suffered from depression since 1997. She did so on a "special episode" of The View yesterday that was dedicated to women and depression. To combat it, Rosie hangs upside down on a yoga swing for 15-30 minutes every day. She also takes antidepressants and practices regular (not upside down) yoga. While it's noble of her to talk about depression-- a disease which still has a negative stigma-- the swinging upside down is just plain funny to watch.

Rosie, thanks for setting back the perception of depression in this country back by 10 years.
Is Rosie even still relevant to anything?

I find it hard to believe that Rosie O'Donnell has suffered from depression for a decade, yet she still did her fun daytime talk show for 6 years. She did a very good job at it. It was smart that she kept the condition private from everybody, or the media would have bragged all about it. I commend her for talking about it on Friday's The View. I hope that it will help many women everywhere to get help.

Why do all the women on this site defend Rosie O'Donnell? Are there no straight tv critics?

Hey Smiley, how small-minded are you?
One needs to be gay to agree with a gay person?
You should immediately find out each blogger's ethnic and religious backgrounds, or you might agree with a wrong kind of person.

I got one right away and have been using it for a week. I don't have depression, but I can see why she says it makes a difference. It makes you feel much more energized and relaxed at the same time. Try it before you make fun of it...I got mine from omgym.com
