Hurley flashback episodes are always full of Easter eggs, and "Tricia Tanaka is Dead" was no exception. Here's a rundown of the eggs that viewers have found in the last week.
Brand names: Many fans noticed the DHARMA logo on the VW bus, another addition to the DHARMA brand (food, beer, etc.). During one of Hurley's flashback scenes, young Hurley's father gives him a Glacier Bar before leaving for Vegas. Is this another polar bear connection? In Season One, Hurley boarded Oceanic 815 with a comic book that contained a polar bear image.
Episode shout-outs: One Pop Candy reader noticed that the episode contained references to two previous Lost episode titles. The keys to the VW bus were connected to a white rabbit's foot key chain ("White Rabbit"), and Kate offered Sawyer a blank slate before returning to the beach ("Tabula Rasa"). Is this a clue, or a fun coincidence?
The numbers: Just before Asian reporter Tricia Tanaka stepped inside Mr. Cluck's, she filmed a segment for a puff piece on Hurley for Action 8 news. Since she was killed by a meteor in the next moment, I think that there may be something to this curse after all.
David: Another Lost viewer pointed out that the name David continues to show up in connection with Hurley. Hurley's father is named David Reyes, his imaginary friend was named Dave, and Libby's husband was named David. Libby's husband had named his sailboat after her, a boat that ended upon the island with Desmond.
The Island: Once again, meaningful art has popped up in a Lost episode. A painting of a tropical beach is visible in Hurley's dining room during his flashback. A sign of things to come?
Keep an eye out for clues in this week's "Enter 77."

And don't forget that Desmond's middle name is David. I never caught all the Daves before!

Umm, "Asian" reporter Tricia Tanaka?
Whats up with the ethnic label for someone whose only purpose is to be splatted??

I think he meant "Asian reporter Tricia Tanaka" as there's a similarly named character in Family Guy and the other characters always put "asian reporter" in front of her name.

I'm wondering if Hurley created his own curse and made things happen. He might have some serious psychic powers related to luck.
Maybe the numbers weren't 'evil', maybe he entered them in the lottery, twisted fate, and won. As a reflex, he then set his luck to 'curse' and bad things started happening.
