Former SNL'er Tim Meadows has taken a co-starring role in The Bill Engvall Show. As Adam reported earlier this month, Engvall plays a family counselor whose family could (ironically and typically) use some counseling of its own. Nancy Travis will play Engvall's wife who is trying to raise their three children right. Meadows will play Engvall's friend, who is also a doctor. The sitcom will air on TBS.Where has Tim Meadows been since leaving SNL in 2000? Well, most recently he had some guest-starring roles in The Office, Everybody Hates Chris, Help Me Help You and According to Jim.

Although, I never thought of Tim Meadows as funny on SNL - I would like to see him do something better...Can't he put together some crummy projects like Rob Schneider, who amazingly gets work?

Rob Scheinder is part of the fratboy douchebag troup known as Happy Madison(a combo of Adam Sandler's loser friends and some of the 90's SNL castmembers) Tim's actually been in a couple of their movies most recently Benchwarmers so maybe he could get a movie out of this. Lest we not forget "Ladies Man".
Honestly, he's basically the token minority on the show, Bill wants to appeal to all demographics okay! Wasn't there one black guy on Blue Collar tv too? Just for the sake of saying hey we're just southern not supremacists!

How the hell can anyone find any racism in any of the Blue Collar acts. Not once has Larry, Bill, Jeff, or Ron EVER brought up race in their acts. They tell stories with a funny spin. You do understand that The Blue Collar Tour was the highest grossing comedy tour EVER, don't you? Larry is also THE top grossing solo comedian.
It's a shame this show is airing on TBS. I don't watch anything on that channel (don't even know where it is on my lineup). Bill is one funny SOB.
Tim Meadows ain't funny.

I never said the BC guys are racist. I just said that Blue Collar TV had one black guy on their as the obligatory token minority to deter from the southern stereotype and it looks like Tim Meadows is being used in the same way. And I'm sorry you don't find Tim Meadows funny, but I don't see him fitting on Bill Engvall's show. And just because the TOUR was high grossing doesn't mean that everyone finds them funny. I personally don't like the recycled joke humor about the difference in women and how crazy old people are and how dumb hippies are. And hey how about that cutting edge humor about the wonders of midgets and flea markets and wafflehouses and "soy bacon".
