Lost stars Naveen Andrews, Jorge Garcia, Dominic Monaghan, and Emilie de Ravin have given USA Today a few teasers about their upcoming flashback episodes. Jorge Garcia's Hurley-centric episode airs tonight, and the actor claimed that a younger, slimmer Hurley will be seen. Daniel Dae Kim and Dominic Monaghan will also have significant screen time, since Hurley attempts to distract Charlie from his recent bad news. Hurley's grief over Libby's death is revisited as well.
Sayid's flashback episode will air next week, and Naveen Andrews stated that the former torturer's past will catch up with him in Paris. The island storyline has Sayid leading a group of his fellow crash survivors to the "Flame" DHARMA station. Sayid will see a cat from his past on the island, part of a trend in which significant objects from the characters' lives pop up unexpectedly.
Emilie de Ravin's March 14 episode will flash back to a seventeen-year-old Claire. The actress said that Claire will be darker in this flashback, both emotionally and physically (her hair is black in the flashback scenes). The character's relationship with her parents will also be explored. When asked about the rumors that Christian Shephard is Claire's father, de Ravin merely said, "You'll see."
There is a great deal of secrecy surrounding Dominic Monaghan's upcoming episode, the date of which is being kept secret. Monaghan did reveal that the flashbacks for Claire, Sayid, Locke, and Hurley are building up to the Charlie flashback. Charlie's death in this episode is a major possibility, but the actor stated that he was fine with either outcome.
Lost airs Wednesdays at 10pm ET.

First time I've commented on this show. Been watching this show for two years now. My observations and questions; 1)All characters with flashbacks have demons to conquer and as one comment I read recently put it, "they all seem lost in more ways than one." 2)Is there a common thread to the characters who have died? 3)Why do ALL characters with flashback have connections? What are the chances of this from an airplane of strangers? What does this reveal about the secrets of Lost? 4) Locke's accessment that the island is doing things I believe is a major clue. Something went wrong on the island and The Others (though have some connection to the outside) are unable to leave themselves.
Enough rambling for now.

I have a feeling that the flashbacks have connections with wrongs that could have easily been made right and somehow the coming to that island is giving them a chance to right that wrong. (Desmond's time travel episode is a great example to that.) I also think that all those who have been killed on the island have murdered someone else on the island at some point. I may be missing someone but Mr. Ecco murdered several of The Others, Ana Lusia killed two as well as Shannon. Charlie's death is pending and I believe it's because he killed Ethan way back. And the connections I believe give a clue to the island being a way to correct past mistakes. That's a very vague theory but I'll stick behind it for now.

Further note: Juliet was almost put to death by her peers for killing (I can't remember his name but you know who I'm talking about). The Others believe in "A soul for a soul," so to speak.
