Network storage for all your HTPC needs

Network Attached StorageYesterday Brad pointed us to a nice guide which went into detail with regards to building the perfect HTPC. Well that's all fine and dandy, but what happens when you have two or more in your house and you want to start sharing content between them?

Sure, Microsoft has told us about their upcoming Home Server, but unfortunately it won't quite do what we are looking for, and we don't know the exact cost of these things yet. The simplest answer is centralized storage, or a NAS (network area storage).

Floppyhead has taken up the challenge of going through a variety of solutions to see what the most favorable solution is. They took 3 NAS units which are all readily available, and they gave us quick details on them (both the pros and cons), and let us know what their choice would be.

With Media Center PCs becoming more and more common place in homes, there is surely going to be an increase in sale for NAS devices. I know I personally hate it when I lose track of which PC my recordings are on.
