It was another slow week for the Lost death pool, although "Stranger in a Strange Land" featured a close call for Juliet. Her death would have been worth quite a few points, too: 14 for the episode, and I might have even thrown in bonus points for her type of death (being executed by the Others is pretty cool, no?). Alas, it was not to be. Since there are no new updates, I have decided to give players a rundown of the possible life expectancy of the remaining characters.Based on everyone's picks, there are thirty possible deaths that could still be worth points. Here they are, starting with, in my opinion, the least likely.
- Group One (Least Likely): Aaron, Danielle Rousseau, Desmond, Eye Patch Guy, Hurley, Jack, Jacob, Kate, Kelvin, Michael, Ms. Klugh, Sawyer, Vincent the Dog. Quite a few Others have died already, so I am putting the less prominent ones at the bottom of the list (Eye Patch, Jacob, Ms. Klugh). Michael would have to return to the island for his death in order to be worth points, and Harold Perrineau's return sounds unlikely. I don't even want to watch a show that kills Vincent the Dog. It is highly possible that Kelvin is dead already. The remaining characters are either crucial to the show's mythology (Desmond, Danielle, and possibly Aaron) or extremely popular (Hurley, Jack, Kate, Sawyer). Lost has not yet proved itself to be ruthless toward its main characters; cast deaths have remained in the supporting category.
- Group Two (Possible/Neutral): Alex, Ben, Bernard, Cindy, Claire, Jin, Juliet, Locke, Rose, Sayid, Sun, Tom. Most of these characters fall into the neutral category; there are no clear indications one way or the other. I am guessing that most of the Others are safe for now, unless a major conflict with the other island residents ensues. Most of the 815 survivors have stayed in the background (or remained completely unseen) so far. Locke and Sayid are involved with Jack's rescue mission in later episodes, so they could be surprise deaths later on in the season.
- Group Three (Very Likely): Baby Kwon, Charlie, Karl, Nikki, Paulo. There have been rumblings that Rodrigo Santoro will leave the show after this season, and Kiele Sanchez's new show deal is not encouraging news for Nikki. Desmond gave Charlie a death sentence of sorts in "Flashes Before Your Eyes," but it could just be a big tease on the writers' part. When we last saw Karl, he was heading home to the Others' island headquarters, just as the rest of the Others were leaving Alcatraz. Something tells me that it is only a matter of time before he gets caught. Finally, the slow pace of the show's timeline leads me to believe that Sun may not be meant for a full-term pregnancy.
In the meantime, Week One's rankings still stand. Have any death theories or rumors to share? Feel free to post them in the comments section.

I really just watch the show now because it gives me something to complain about. The show is a complete mess now and i'm looking forward to it being canceled because I hate what it has become. I cant wait until next week when we have the NEXT BIG ANSWER to the question that is on EVERYBODY'S MIND: "How did Kate get the nickname "freckles"

Can we just kill Kate, Sawyer and Jack? The show would be so much better!

I'd put Ben in the very likely group 3. He seems to have found his replacement [Jack], so, he can die already.
