Lost Death Pool update (spoilers)

Lost, ABCDuring Wednesday night's episode of Lost, viewers got to witness the first island death of 2007. For participants in TV Squad's Lost Death Pool it was a welcome event. I'll hold off until after the jump to discuss the details of the death, for those of you who have not seen the episode yet. Whether you liked the character or not, the death was good news for a more than few people, and I'm not just talking about fictional characters. Keep reading to get a rundown of point totals and a list of those lucky people who are currently in the lead.

Danny Pickett didn't have many fans among Lost viewers, but his death may have gotten him some good will among Death Pool entrants. Unfortunately, the unremarkable cause of death (getting shot by Juliet) was not eligible for bonus points. Also, since nearly forty of you chose Pickett, no one will be getting double points for his death. Those of you who were smart enough to see Pickett's demise coming will receive a total of 21 points in the pool (5 for a correct guess, 16 for the episode in which he died). Congratulations are in order to the following people:

Alex, Andrew, April, bbf203, Brody, Chris Wyant, Craig, darciedyan, Diana, Don, Dustin, Gina, Gregory Capobianco, Holli, Hubba, jks, John S., Kat, Kenneth Chong, Kris Clark, Kristi Parry, Lauren, mgamark, michou2880, Morgan, nandy, PlusDrew, Priscilla, RedStarRevolution, Sam, Stephanie, Thomas Cushard, Tracy, ts, TuckerKatt, and TVblogger.

Good luck next week, everyone!
