"Am I Hot Or Not?": The high-pitched voice gave me a good chuckle. I'd like to imagine that Punxsutawney Phil is really thinking all that in his little groundhog head. "I speak the truuuuth!" Oh, and The Daily Show is really pushing those Jimmy Dean Chocolate Chip Pancakes & Sausage On A Stick jokes. I'm starting to wonder if they're getting paid by Jimmy Dean to advertise that "food" by pretending to hate it... when, in fact, it's delicious and addictive. Senior White House Correspondent Dan Bakkedahl also stopped by to say something. My ears tuned out because, as of late, Bakkedahl-talk sounds like Peanuts adults... but less funny.Senior Envirospondent John Oliver, popping in for the millionth time this year, talked about the Eiffel Tower's five-minute power shut-down. He was funny, as usual. The Daily Show's correspondents situation doesn't seem so solid right now. Even up until Rob Corddry and Ed Helms left, it felt like the appearances and funniness were well-balanced. It doesn't feel the same at the moment.
The night's guest was Walter Scheib, Executive Chef for Bill Clinton and George W. Bush, and author of White House Chef: Eleven Years, Two Presidents, One Kitchen. The interview was nice. Um... that's about it. For some reason, I thought the head chef was a woman? I remember seeing a news thing about her a few years ago. Maybe my brain's just making things up again.
Jon/Stephen: Stephen Colbert gay-ed it up in Miami... in the most hetero way possible. Moment of Zen: Senator James Inhofe blames part of the global warming bullcrap on the Weather Channels' desperate need for kick-ass ratings.
Next time... Jason Jones completes his Laguna Beach adventure. On the soundtrack: "Fuck The Pain Away" by Peaches. Awesome.

Yeah, I find the sausage on a stick jokes funny, but they always make me want to try them. Cause even though they are just an efficient way to give yourself a heart attack, they definitely look delicious.

You're right about the woman chef. I remember her name was something like Cristina Cumberford, and they did a segment about her...something about her "confirmation proccess" It was really funny, there was stuff about when dough became bread, when you pull it out of the oven or when you knead the dough. I think it was Stephen Colbert, actually, the "senior culinary expert" for it.
