That sick curse happened to me this Christmas. I was feeling well as the big day approached, and having been sick as a dead dog the past SEVEN Christmases, I was elated over the possibility of being well for once. Naturally, I was happily telling everyone about my change of fortune and I did manage Christmas morning feeling perfectly well. But...(yeah, there's always a "but") by about 10pm Christmas day I was sniffling a bit and the next morning I had one of those winter-time mega-colds.
I swear I'll never tell anyone how happy I am to not be sick again.
