Chevy: "College Ad Challenge Winner"
And I thought Maposaurus was bizarre... I'm not sure of the thinking behind this commercial. If random guys are going to start stripping and rubbing themselves against the car, I want nothing to do with the HHR. I'll take the Pinto with the exploding gas tank given the choice. While it doesn't work from that angle, it was pretty amusing.
Give them credit for getting all types of guys in on the act. Even a pale, bony, old dude. The reaction of the girls was great. Especially the one covering her eyes and saying, "Tell me when it's over." Probably not a good idea to float out there during your commercial though. Nice choice of music as well. "It's getting hot in here" is a great song.

Well, I'm female and I don't have a driving license and that ad certainly didn't entice me to get it, even less a Chevy.

Seriously, this was a pretty funny ad. I did love the bony old grampa and the "tell me when it's over" quote. A nice entry from an outside source. Actually, MUCH better than the stupid singing ad they showed twice. That one was HORRIBLE!

I loved this ad! I thought it was a parody on the idea that women want guys to think they have a hot car and this car is sooo hot it goes too far. I had one of the first PT Crusiers and got all kinds of stares, so I guess that's why I identify with the humor in the ad. I'd buy an HHR, having the PT crusier was a blast!
