It seems like karma is hitting models in the derriere. Some have bigger ones than others and like to slap them on their syndicated talk shows. After years of inspiring legions of young women to starve themselves to attain that stick figure physique, why are you fake crying now? Did you think we'd conveniently forget that you've made your career pushing the skinny ideal in your career and on the career of others on America's Next Top Model? If you truly wanted to change the perception of American media, you would have let Toccarra win her cycle. We know that didn't happen.
But please, Ms. Bankable Productions. Spare me your disingenuous tears...
It's one thing to make a point and I agree that our social ideals are less than desirable, but it's another to pretend as if you didn't starve yourself in the last week to look better in that suit. You obviously spent a considerable time doing your hair, 'cause it looked great. Jamie Lee Curtis you are not. You could have handled the whole situation with more grace, and tried to act more like Ms. USA... Uh, actually, I take that back.
This week's esteemed WTF?! moment goes to Tara Conner on Today. Matt Lauer is not buying your story and neither is the rest of America. Didn't anyone in your charm school ever tell you to try to keep the white lines out of the papers...?
I would like to make an appeal to Donald Trump. This woman should be fired. She is the absolute worst example out there and does not deserve benevolence in this matter. She is also disingenuous in her recovery because she's almost bragging about all the things she's done and is still the representative of the Ms. USA crown.

She's a multi-millionaire for being skinny and hot. So just stop it. I've never seen a person bitch and moan about people busting their chops so much. If you look at her show on a regular basis, you'll realize this slob makes every subject about the one and only Tyra fucking Banks. And because she's gotten bigger, now her personal pledge in life is talking about how every girl is beautiful if they're fat. If she got AIDS i bet that shit would go right out the window.

I agree Tyra makes it all about her, but I'm glad to see someone fighting back against the anorexic chic that is so popular in magazines these days. I don't care what her motives are, be it encouraging young women or scoring higher ratings or getting revenge on the tabloids. I think she's still hot, not that her looks matter anyway. Should our attitude towards her fluctuate with the size of her ass?

Uh, yes. Mariah Carey was once uber-hot too. Then she packed on the pounds and began to look more like a south american drag queen than the sexy little thing of the mid-90s.
Tyra was insanely hot once. and got paid accordingly for it. Now she's an attractive lady but not anywhere near her "instant-boner" status of the 90s.

It's been my impression that Tyra Banks has been trying to reconcile "normal" women with this appearance-obsessed society. She's still capitalizing on her beauty and all, but I don't agree that she's been perpetuating the "skinny ideal" that much.
