Jon StewartSome more talk about Wolf Blitzer's recent interview with Dick Cheney, when we were once again reminded that Cheney don't like talkin' about his lesbian daughter. Hmm. His buddies are scolding people for mentioning Mary Cheney and using children as "political props". Every time I see that clip of the "What? Are you going to kill me?" presentation, I laugh for about five or six... hours. It's not good for my health.

Senior Media Critic John Oliver stopped by to elaborate. I liked the list of fourteen things that Cheney's willing to talk about (well, what we heard of it, anyway). Political Activist Chrissy Gephardt (!) also chatted with Jon about the issue. Good sport.

"The Daily Show's Laguna Beach: The Real, Real Orange County (Part 1 of 2)": When Jon said that this was a two-part Jason Jones report, I groaned really loudly. Jones has been on the show a long time, but I still haven't quite warmed up to him. This report gave him some big points in my book. The Laguna Beach style was so spot-on, it was scary. Like, the "gratuitous scene change" to the driving range? That happens! Oh goodness... What is this feeling stirring inside of me? Am I... Am I actually looking forward to the next Jason Jones report?

The night's guest was Sienna Miller, star of the upcoming film Factory Girl. Miller was on Conan O'Brien's show a few night's ago and she was just as adorable during that interview as she was in this one. Fun Fact: In the pre-interview film clip, the girl on the far right at the very beginning is Mary-Kate Olsen making a cameo. Notice how she has her head oh-so-subtly turned to face the camera.

Jon/Stephen: God, this was a good one. Stephen Colbert's all about fear-mongering... not-so-exclusive fear-mongering. Oh man, I cannot even begin to express how much I love it when Stephen breaks character. It's such a rare treat. Moment of Zen: John Edwards is a-okay with Mary Cheney.

I had a nice laugh at Jason Jones' clips over the credits, too. It looks like he got into the water a couple times... I wonder how many suits he had to have on hand.
