Heroes and 24 have more in common than a 9 p.m. time slot on Monday nights.
One actress -- Rena Sofer -- appears as a minor character on both programs.
On 24, she's Jack Bauer's sister-in-law Marilyn Bauer, who was once (or still is?) in love with the American hero, and, if you go by the internet rumor mill, may have had a love child with the CTU agent.
On Heroes, she's Heidi Petrelli, the newly disabled wife of New York City politician Nathan Petrelli who can fly, and has a brother, Peter Petrelli, who can absorb his fellow heroes' powers.
In the February 9 dead-tree edition of Entertainment Weekly, reporter Dan Snierson tried to coax Sofer into telling him which show she likes better. But the wise woman wouldn't bite and instead listed some of the pluses and minuses of both programs, including: On 24 it's much simpler because there's only one hero to follow, but she said Heroes has a much better catch-phrase.

and her kid on 24 ...a boy...looks just like Kim Bauer...played by Elisha Cuthbert..amazing casting to resemble each other like that..so maybe a love child blond blue eyes...almost like twins...

I have been in ove with Rena Sofer since KEEPING THE FAITH. She's just awesome, a classic beauty. I do wonder how both networks feel that she plays the same character (basically, the wife of a morally questionable, powerful man) on both shows!

Rena's a sweetheart (or at least she was when we were neighbors in LA in the mid-90's when she was on General Hospital). She's been busting her ass in show after show since then and I'm glad to see her on such successful shows, no matter how big or small her roles are!

And yet Jack's father is 6'5", Jack is 5'10", and Jack's brother is 5'6" and all of them have no resemblance whatsoever to each other.
