Well, Adam called it. CBS has pulled Armed & Famous off the air, after four episodes (there have already been four episodes?!?). The series raked in a measly 1.4 rating during its most recent episode on January 24th, just barely beating The CW's Beauty and the Geek. That final rating was less than half the ratings of the premiere, which got a 2.9. There are three more episodes of the show and so far there's no indication from the network whether they will be burned off on air. Don't be surprised if they show up on Innertube, though.Armed & Famous was pretty much doomed from the start. Even though it got a bit of press, it was still a 'reality' show about a bunch of not-so-famous people who become cops in a rural Indiana town. Pseudo-celebrities Erik Estrada, Jack Osbourne, La Toya Jackson, Wee Man and some blonde chick apparently weren't interesting enough to grab ratings. Duh.

The dumb blonde chick was Trish Stratus, WWE wrestler. To give her at least some credit, she was the only one who opted to actually get shot with a taser instead of going with the alligator clips or whatever the other option was.

Yeah, not much of a surprise. Quite honestly, I was a little surprised CBS chose this show. It seemed like it was more suited for TV Land or another cable station.

I kind of liked the premise of the show, but did not see its place on a major network. I think it would have done great on Spike or something. Those are somewhat decent numbers for a smaller cable network.

It may have been worth watching if it was not sooooo obviously scripted.

Yeah #2, TV Land would have been a much better place for this show. I was also surprised that a main stream network such as CBS, chose to buy and air the show during PRIME TIME. Good win for the production company that created the show, but not so much for CBS. This definitely should have been on a valuable secondary market cable network. Just look at the Surreal Life on Vh1 - that show is having a GREAT life...

I'm actually living in Muncie, Indiana right now (not by choice I'm a student at the wonderful Ball State University but anyway.) I heard that VH1 will be picking up the show, but that was rumored as of this morning. It would blend in perfect with their Celebreality shows.

Yeah, I'm really surprised this even made it on the schedule at CBS. Just from the introductory commerical, I knew it was 'worth missing'

THEIR BIGGEST MISTAKE WAS IN THEIR CHOICE OF A HAS BEEN MONEY GRUBBING X-CHIPS COP TURNED LAND ROBBER BARRON WHO'S GOOD LOOKS (WHAT LITTLE HE HAD LEFT) FADED ALONG WITH OUR PRISTINE FARM & AG. LAND TURNED OUTRAGEOUSLY EXPENSIVE MUCKITY-MUCK GOLF COMMUNITIES. SCARRING OUR LIVE STOCK AND LOWERING OUR EGGLAYING GROSS.

La Toya comes off as needy. The rest are egotistical to the max whenever anyone realizes who they are even if they are semi stars. Bigest ego boost noted was Eric Estrada. Most interesting Jack Osborn since he seems to have done well in Rehab. Good going Jack!

Muncie is not a rural city, it was a light hearted show. Unless it has total gore, violece, or sex it is not worth watching? I enjoyed it sorry we cannot enjoy things unless they are laden with all the ills of society. I would much rather live here than in your sin laden BIG CITIES!

I watched it - just because Muncie is my hometown. Muncie has a lot of balls.
Ball State University
Ball Brothers
Ball Memorial Hospital
and the now defunct Ball Stores department store

That was the omnly show on CBS I really liked. Reality shows are getting worse each day. Take survivor for instance. That show sux. Too many and CSI. How many of these stupid shows do we need. Most are repeats. Im a big fan of Trish Stratus or as you called her some blond chick. She was great on that show. So this last comment is for CBS. I you people had half a brain in your head you would do one of the following.
1) Give the show to some other cable company like Reality TV.
or
2) put the show back on the air so i can watch somthing normal for once.

I like the show. It's the only reality TV show I have liked since "Dog" (a dirty pleasure of mine). And I like both shows for the same reason - they both have heart. I'm SOOOOOOOOOOO sick of mean spirited TV (read: the completely overhyped AI that gets ratings for picking on the autistic). I'm seriously ready to cancel my cable subscription and spend that $50 a month with NetFlix, where all my favorite canceled shows (Freaks and Geeks, Firefly, etc.) are available on DVD. I'm only hoping Armed & Famous will end up there too. I mean, come on, three weeks on the air? Can you say ridiculous? No show's worth can be determined in that time. Cheers sure didn't. Remember how long that ran? It was given more than two SEASONS to succeed.
Seriously sick of networks. But, is Armed & Famous going to be shown on VH1 as I heard on Court TV? If so, I'm setting my TiVo. Shame on CBS.

I don't know why Erik Estrada didn't get his own TV drama or something. And Jack Osbourne needs to get in more meatier TV projects and get out of the reality show business. Did CBS think that it would be a hit in January? They need to focus on their other shows instead. I think that people are tired of watching has been stars together on one reality show. Surreal Life on VH-1, yes, but on a major network like CBS, no.
