Biting the hand that feeds you is a popular sport in Hollywoodland. We all know that Scientologist Isaac Hayes, the voice of South Park's Chef, parted ways with the show after its Emmy-nominated, Scientology-mocking "Trapped in the Closet" episode aired last year. Hayes was reported as saying that the show had crossed from "satire" to "intolerance," which is apparently what happens when your own belief system is mocked instead of someone else's. Following the controversy, Chef was served an unholy and definitive end in which he was burned, beaten, impaled, shot and quartered by a grizzly bear and a mountain lion. Oh, and he defecated as he expired. Given this series of cartoon events, why the New York Post would bother to ask Hayes whether or not he planned on returning to the show is beyond me, but Hayes' answer was clear.
"They didn't pay me enough." "They weren't that nice." Anything else, Mr. Hayes? Oh yeah, today's hip-hop scene, "it ain't gonna last." Despite Hayes' apparent descent into grumpy old man-ness, fans will be happy to note that he is recovering nicely from a stroke he suffered last year and will be returning to the stage this Saturday at the B.B. King Blues Club in New York where he will not, as of this writing, be performing "Chef's Salty Balls."

Please excuse Matt and Trey for helping make you relevant again and opening you up to an entirely new generation.
Oh, and by the way, your restaurant in Memphis is horribly overpriced and the food is mediocre and reminiscent of cafeteria food at best.

Isaac you are a wonderful man, but.. :( *sighs* it just seems a little unfair that you uped and left South Park like that im catholic person but i respect all reliogion in the world and i know everyone has there own thing to believe in :). You played the character "CHEF" for at least 10 years and didn't have a problem with it everybody has to laugh now and then dont ya think? im sorry Isacc, I do hope the best for you and you continue to do what you wish,but.. if you just talked with Parker and Stone maybe you could work something out hmm? :) thank you very much.
