Now someone in Hollywood has confirmed what I've thought for several years.
George Lopez, comedian and star of his own ABC sitcom, told Florida radio station WOMX hosts Scott and Erica that Leno is "the biggest two-faced dude on TV," and went on to call him a back-stabber. He also said that Leno was bad at interviewing his guests.
Anyone who watches Leno knows that Lopez is right. He's an awesomely bad host, mumbling through introductions, laughing at his own jokes, and rushing through everything so fast he must want to get the hell out of there so he can either go home and write more jokes or maybe play with his car collection. In fact, the whole show is a mess, from the addition of Stuttering John as announcer to Leno's "bits." As for the back-stabbing accusation, I can't speak to that, except to say that everyone should read Bill Carter's book The Late Shift and find out about the Leno vs. Letterman Tonight Show feud.

Yeah Leno is an extremely bad interviewer, and all the bits are awful.
His monologue is getting worse too.
And btw, ban 'juan' please...he's a spammer

I would say the CBS has it together with Letterman, and Ferguson they are both just great.

Also, on a recent segment with ROss the Intern @ the Golden Globes, Steven Spielberg saw Ross, and made his way over to him, and said I love you, and I watch the tonight show all the time. So a world renowned director backs Jay.

Jay is hilarious, his monologue is funny, his segments are funny. On the occasion that he does screw up, he does admit his fault, and is able to laugh at himself. He is a very hospitable host, he is willing to take part in some skits, and people genuinely enjoy him.
As for Stuttering John, he doesnt stutter any more.

How are Leno's ratings doing now that NBC's primetime sucks so much and no longer delivers as many viewers to the affiliates' 11pm news? Is Letterman up now that CBS has a lot of high-viewer 10pm shows?

You might want to reexamine the original conversation between Lopez and the DJs. Sounds to me like he was kidding.

lopez is an attention WHORE. he's obviously been bumped from the show or something and is taking advantage of that situation to start a "feud"
Leno seems like a stand up guy, he may not be the best interviewer, but i think he's a LOT better than letterman, who's REALLY REALLY unfunny!
letterman has no sense of comedic timing and gap-toothed smile makes me want to slap him into another heart attack!

Leno stopped being funny about 5 years ago for some reason. He's always been a terible interviewer, and is known around L.A., and in car show circles, for not being honest. Stuttering John couldn't ad lib a burp. The bits on The Tonight Show are apparently geared toward morons, and lately, even morons think they're dumb.

George Lopez was, not wrong, but incorrect regarding one of perhaps several details, and that's the whole deal with the term 'replacement'. Didn't Johnny Carson replace the various temporary hosts that took over the show after Jack Paar, including one Groucho Marx.
First host: Steve Allen.
List of all replacement hosts: Ernie Kovacs, Jack Lescoulie, Al Collins, Jack Paar, interlude of various hosts, Johnny Carson, Jay Leno, and Conan O'Brien.
