Brian Williams and Tina Fey are old friends, and that's why he decided to take part in last week's episode of 30 Rock, which showed Kenneth cleaning up Williams' (supposedly) office. Besides all the empty booze bottles and porn scattered around the office, the words "Katie Couric Sucks" was written on the office wall.
But the NBC Nightly News anchor says that when Fey showed him the script weeks before the episode was filmed, the "Katie Couric Sucks" part wasn't in it. He was kinda shocked by it, and wants to make sure everyone knows that he likes Katie and does not, repeat, does not think that Katie sucks in any way, shape, or form.

You know who doesn't suck? Brian Williams. I LOVE BRIAN WILLIAMS. The man has a better sense of humor than most comedians and yet, he's still classy enough to host the nightly news. Mmm-mm.

So I guess Brian Williams is lame. I mean come on it's a comedy, I really didn't think he wrote that on the wall, or felt that way about Katie. I loved that episode-- so fu-kin' funny, and the whole part of his office was my favorite.
Oh, so he doesn't want everyone to know he doesn't have booze and porn thrown about his office. Doesn't even make since, if he knows that comes off as a joke he should lighten up and realize the viewers are smart enough to know a joke.

I know, I don't think he sucks. I love him when he's on Conan. But I just think the whole thing was silly. It was 30Rock, a comedy. I didn't take it serious. I knew it was a joke. I just think it's silly to have to expalin that to people. I think TV viewers are smarter than most people in the TV business give us credit for. That's what I meant

Geez...did you actually READ the article? The article did NOT say, "He was kinda shocked by it, and wants to make sure everyone knows that he likes Katie and does not, repeat, does not think that Katie sucks in any way, shape, or form".
What the article DID say was, "It was a heart-stopper to see that on the wall," he said. "I hope my old friend Katie knows that’s not really what I do with my free time."
(presumable if Brian and Katie are friends, he would not of course need to "make it clear" that he likes Katie. Only a moron would need to clarify such a thing to a friend. And if you think Brian really thinks that fans who take this stuff seriously matter, well then YOU are the moron, methinks.
Than there's this..."Williams called the send-up "brilliant and hilarious," and noted, for the record, that he’s a teetotaler in real life".
So, not only did the scene not "shock" him, he thought it was really funny.
Bob, you seem to think this is some kind of big deal, when all you have really done is misquote a story you read somewhere else. Why not just put a link to the real article if you cannot properly cite the original. Or would that be too much like...umm...journalism?
Reluctantly adding to your pitiful...and indicative...comment score,
Kyle

Also, the show did NOT have anything written on the wall that read "Katie Couric Sucks." I'll have to check my Tivo but it was something akin to:
Kat
Cou
Suc
Big difference. If someone has enough brains to fill in the blanks on that, then that same person probably also gets comedy is not reality.

that was the funniest part of a funny episode.
so, while he states the kat cou suc part wasn't what he believes, he is a drunk who does wreck his office that needs to be cleaned by a paige?
kat cou does suc by the way.

Did I miss it, or did NBC edit out the graffiti during the re-airing of the episode tonight?
