Rosie's reportedly at it again. She's causing controversy on The View, making more celebrity enemies, or what I call "celenemies." I've been trying to ignore all the hubbub surrounding her star-studded pissing matches with Trump, Kelly Ripa, and the country of China, but since I'm reporting on all things related to American Idol, I am obligated to bring you the latest. Here's what happened. On Wednesday's episode of The View, Rosie remarked, "Paula was very thirsty last night," implying that Abdul was hitting the sauce throughout the show, until she was blotto. The very next day, angered by the way the judges cruelly treated a certain "monkey-looking" contestant, Rosie called the judges -- "three millionaires, one probably intoxicated."
Okay, I'm not quite sure these are "fighting words" worthy of a real celebrity face-off. Rosie is not the first person to call Paula a drunk. In fact, tons of bloggers have already said so, and more, based on Paula's erratic and loopy behavior of late. And like Rosie, many people were offended by Wednesday's night's "spectacle of cruelty."
The difference, of course, is that Rosie is a celebrity herself and celebrities are expected to "play nice" and avoid controversy as much as possible. This is like a golden rule in an ultra-competitive industry where often it's more important who you know, than what you know. Make too many "celenemies" and eventually nobody is going to have your back, or return your calls. And you can forget about getting any invites to the hot celebrity weddings!
Remember when people used to refer to Rosie O'Donnell as "The Queen of Nice?" Yeah, not so much, anymore. Of course, back when Rosie reigned as the queen of her own talk show, I heard from several insiders (that's me bragging) that she really was a raving bitch backstage, once the cameras were off. Now all of America gets to see her true colors. I personally think that Rosie is suffering from "blogging brain" (another little phrase I just made up). Used to spouting her personal opinions online, Rosie has lost the ability to filter thoughts between her brain and large mouth.
What do you think? Should Rosie shut her piehole already? Or do you like the new-and-improved "honest" Rosie who refuses to play the celebrity ass-kissing game?

I think Rosie's cool, and has a right to her own personal "view". Isn't that the name of the show?
Paula has been behaving erratical for some time now and I think she need a "vacation" from American Idol.
I won't even watch AI anymore-haven't for sometime now, because of Paula's behavior. Rosie isn't saying anything about "Anybody" that hasn't already been said by others, be it about Trump and/or Paula. And she certainly doesn't use "physical" insults, like Trump did. I support Rosie and the women on "The View".

keep on talkin', rosie. I was never a fan at all (...and still wouldn't consider myself one now), but it's about time someone with a forum to do so calls paula on her behavior.
AI is paula's job - imagine showing up to work like that every day? how long would you last?
she never has anything constructive to say and really (for me, at least)detracts from the show in a major way... she spends too much time trying to put together a complete sentence, thus cutting down on simon's snark time. and that freaky arms above the head clapping routine she does - ugh. i'm so sick of her and i haven't even started watching idol this season!
paula and trump both suck, so go nuts rosie. let 'em have it.

There's a difference between not kissing celebrity ass and being an over oppinionated ass. Can Rosie only be happy if her name remains in the news cycle?

Rosie gets paid to spew her opinion on The View. The question I have is what did the hosts talk about on The View before all the Trump and Ripa drama? I agree that Paula should be more careful about her appearances on television and if she is going to act that way than she better be prepared to receive some critism for it. I will admit that I LOVE an am a HUGE fan of American Idol!! I felt bad for Kelly Pickler as she was co-hosting on The View when Rosie made the comments about American Idol. American Idol gave Pickler her big break. There is always the right time and right place to say things.

Danny, there's a huge difference between DeVito showing up for an interview still tipsy from the night before, and how paula has been acting at HER JOB for the past few years.
as for rosie wanting her name in the news, hey, she's not the one putting it there. she's just saying what she thinks and the press is running with it - like Jeannine said, she isn't saying anything that hasn't been said by others.
the 'news' should really be all about the war and social problems at home and worldwide; it's certainly not rosie's fault that it isn't.
(how the hell did i end up spending my friday afternoon defending rosie o'donnell?!?!?! i don't even like her!)

Although it's true that everyone is entitled to his/her own opinion, that doesn't mean that you should always express it! Her feud with Trump wouldn't have lasted this long and gotten worse had she kept her mouth shut. If she hadn't overreacted (you know she did) to the Clay-Kelly debacle, she could've avoided exacerbating the gay rumors about Clay, who obviously has no intention of coming out if he is. And while I do agree that the AI judges have been at times unnecessarily cruel, she didn't have to make those comments about Paula (whether they were true or not). Thanks to Rosie's "opinions," she has willingly perpetuated arguments, misconceptions and ugly speculations...instead of trying to find a solution.

Rosie commands attention being on the View. I never liked the View before, but now I have set the TIVO for it. Rosie is funny, states the obvious about celebrities with money who should know better (Paula, Trump, Ripa etc.) Rosie also discusses the war in Iraq and all the injustices imposed on our volunteer troops, whose time limits were extended without proper notice. Our troops are being used as security officers trying to break up the violence of religious (gang) warfare.

You think Rosie is offensive, what Kathy Griffin. It was so great that she was on the View today. I'm not surprised that Barbara wasn't there but I'm impressed they have Kathy on again. Kathy is great at calling celebs on their crap. I don't have Bravo anymore and I miss the D-List.
Go Rosie Go!

I am not a fan of Rosie or agree with her on much of anything she say, however I do agree with her on the American Idol judges! In mine opinion they should be replaced- as a start and if possible taken to court.

Rosie should stop talking about other peoples addictions and problems.
I hope she gets hit with a massive coronary but doesn't die, just so she can hear all the fat-ass comments about her, as she so richly deserves.
She's a bitch and a cow.
/I realize this is mean-spirited, but hey.. doesnt stop her, right?

Rosie simply called a spade a spade with the Three Wise Judges insulting the poor knuckleheads who think they are going to be the next Michael Buble or Patsy Cline. About Paula being drunk she must drank too much Malta Vigor.

Rosie O'Donnell needs to shut up sometimes on her comments about certain celebrities. What's next, making fun of Bob Saget's goofy image on the '80s ABC hit Full House before he landed on new game show 1 vs 100 on NBC? Some of her attacks are really on small things, not on anything bigger or extreme. She never did this on her fun daytime talk show from 1996 to 2002, so why is she getting angrier? Kathy Griffin (earlier comments mentioned her) is far better at attacking celebrities because she's in Hollywood all the time, probably seem them frequently and will chew some people UP! She might say that she doesn't like their movies, TV shows or music! Rosie comes off as mild when compared to the more critical Kathy.

Interesting Rosie says she has a right to her view yet critizes everyone else for theirs even though they get paid for theirs as well. She gets on Trump for saying she is fat yet she first made comments for his comb over hmmm nothing like the pot calling the kettle black
