Well, here's a new twist to the never-ending saga of The View: Rosie O'Donnell will leave the show for her own solo talk show later this year.
That's according to TV Week, which cites inside sources as saying that O'Donnell has a clause in her contract saying that after a certain amount of time she can leave for her own show (though the contract also says that she has to negotiate with the Walt Disney Company -- ABC is owned by Disney -- before she goes anywhere else).
So I guess this is a question for both Rosie fans and fans of The View: would this be a good move for both of them? Rosie left her first talk show several years ago in a big way, so why would she want to go back to that? Then again, she did agree to come back to TV full-time on The View, so that's probably not a concern.
Maybe Barbara Walters can get Ivanka Trump to take her place on The View?
(And while we're talking about Rosie, TMZ has video of her dumping on American Idol and Paula Abdul this morning.)

Who does Rosie think she is to go after everyone? Who set her up to be the moral speaker for the world? Just leave The View Rosie and crawl back in your hole with your 'life partner' - you won't be missed.

Rosie O'Donnell is not the only person with an opinion and when people respond to what she has said about them it becomes an attack. I am tired of her bashing people and believing she has spoken with the authority of a deity. Trump had every right to respond to her acid comments and so does everyone else she attacks. She has attacked one person after another and Barbara Walters has backed her up maybe its time Barbara Walters' is replaced.

I think that since Rosie came to the View it hurt them. She attacks people unfairly. Stand up comics get there laughs usually by putting someone down including themselves, that doesn't show respect to anyone. I was upset to here by accident Rosie comments about Idol and to think that she commented about Mr. Trump on national tv, I guess that was different. Time to Go

Has anyone stopped for just a moment to remember the name of the show that Rosie is on? It is called "The View". The show is all about the four women on the "The View", giving their opinions, in other words, giving their "views", on current events, hot topics, (which means interesting, weird, important, etc., news items or stories). So, why is it that everytime Rosie gives her view, she catches hell for it? That is what she was hired to do on "The View". It is just so interesting that no one in the media ever covers and reports on all the wonderful things that Rosie does, for not only kids, but her fellow humans. They sit and wait for her to voice her opinion, then take her words out of context and put it in the context that they know will cause controversy and spread it all over the world. My 'view" is that Rosie is a wonderful, giving, loving, real human, who cares more about the world at large and her fellow humans, than the media will ever dare to show the world. Good news doesn't sell. Only negative news makes good news. It is a sad world we live in when we try to make something good look bad for news and ratings. Rosie...you are a wonderful human. Keep on giving your View.....the world needs more people like you...to open your mouth, loudly. It is too many people keeping quiet....that has gotten us to the horrible place we are today.

This obnoxious broad is building a reputation that challenges G.W. Bush's record of failures.
If the Lesbian Motorcycle Queen gets another show on TV, it will be unshakeable testimony to the lack of taste, talent, brains and foresight prevalent among TV producers.
Maybe Disney/ABC will offer her a one-time special with a reality show where she deliberately angers and mishandles poisionous vipers. Make it soon, Disney.

Rosie complains about people making judgment calls on others when in return she is doing the same exact thing.. hmmmmm People who live in glass houses need not throw stones Rosie. You need to accept people for their ways of doing things and stop being so judgmental. Know the facts behind things before throwing out remarks that fuel a war. How many have you started so far now? Maybe you need to look at yourself a little more and stop looking at Mr trump and Mrs abdul for stuff you seem to be lacking in and that is self respect. You are accusing them of doing things, that in return you are doing with the remarks and statments you make with nothing to go on and nothing to back you up with. Just a drama queen with a unhappy life, who needs drama to make her life worth wild. But in return you in the long run will hurt noone but yourself because people are going to see you for what you are and that is a negative drama queen who has nothing better to do but always start confrontation in someones life. That is sad. The view has become a very sad gossip hound show that I will not watch ever again.

Let me get this straight...Rosie bashes American Idol for making fun of people? People who know full well the show format and frankness that comes with it. Yet, Rosie can make fun of everyone and anyone whom she judges? Blind-siding people in a one-way venom exchange...She has no class and expects to be able to live in her double-standard world making 6 (or 7) digit income while spewing hate for anyone who doesn't fit her own morality.
Who made her the voice of America? Oh yeah, Barbara Walters...
Whether she gets her own show or not, I will never, ever again watch The View or anything associated with Rosie...and I'm fast approaching that stance with Barbara Walters as well.

This woman has an amazing amount of nerve, and clearly both ABC and the viewing public have a very short memory. Am I the only person who remembers back to 2003 when Rosie made the horrifying statement "You know what happens to people who lie. They get sick and they get cancer. If they keep lying, they get it again."? Don't take my word for it. Look it up for yourself. (http://www.cnn.com/2003/LAW/11/06/rosie.magazine.suit.ap/index.html) How can anyone who has had a loved one touched by the disease stand to even look at this woman? And she has the nerve to chastize the "Idol" people for saying things that might be hurtful to their contestants? What about the thousands of cancer survivors, victims and their loved ones who she maligned with her despicable comments?

I think Rosie is a smart person however, I do believe she does not think before she speaks because her mind is thinking way to fast for her and the words just barrel right out. She is a very passionate person but I also feel that she is hurting the View in some ways and but she did help it in the beginning too. Now it may be time for her to leave on go on her own so she does not hurt Barbara Walters who is a class act. Rosie is a survior and will do well doing her own show.
the View did well for 10 years and will do well again without Rosie.

Please believe me I would love to just not tune into the View and it be just a Rosie opinion!!! In fact I have not watched the show for that reason. All of this has spilled into national news and it is everywhere you look!!!The show I think is to have a view on something of real substance and current events. Yes there is freedom of speech! Lets keep it to the View and not have to constantly see all this childish nonsense.

Rosie makes fun of Donald Trump and now she condemns American Idol judges for making fun of the contestants?
She condemned Trump for his morals then judging others for their moral conduct yet she is, by self proclamation, a homosexual?
It seems TV prefers hypocritical people, sad commentary.

Rosie is just mean and rude. I liked Rosie, when she had her own show, but she started to change. She started to change before her show ended, I stopped watching. I will not watch the View. I did not like the way Ms. Walters turned the table on Star. Rosie is too mean, and does not care who she hurts. If she even thinks, that somebody gay is hurt, she comes out swinging. Rosie needs God in her life. It has gone past being a comic.

I use to really enjoy The View, now it has become a comedy show for ROSIE. I know that Elizabeth and Joy, can't enjoy being there everyday with all that drama.
Barbara, I know you have kicked yourself over and over again for that decision.
Rosie, just stop trying to be a standout, and be part of the team. It's really not all about YOU!!!!!!
I'll start back watching after Rosie leave the show. MISS the OLD VIEW!!!!!
Rosie, take a real hard look in the mirror before you talk about Paula and anyone else.

I'm just tired of Rosie. I enjoyed her when she had her own show. Now she just seems angry most of the time .. looking to pick fights and show-off. She is now just a "turn off" .. if she does have a new show .. I won't be watching it. Rosie .. take all your hard earned money and please, just shut-up now. Thank you.

R is delusional and lives in her own world. She goes on about Paula Abdul possibly being intoxicated(R's view) but defends Danny Devito for obviously being intoxicated on her show(that man is trash). She berates people for being judgemental about others looks, when she started this whole diatribe with Donald Trump and was putting him down for his looks. Every day, R slams someone else, including our troops. I don't want to hear her say, she wasn't slamming them, but was in fact slamming our President, not true. She puts down President Bush for legislation bannning same sex marriage, but I never heard her say a word against Clinton when he passed his "don't ask, don't tell" policy. My favorite tho was when she said that terrorists are moms and dads and we shouldn't fear them. This woman really is delusional, filled with hate and really needs therapy. She has a foul mouth and no class at all. I really don't understand how she has a partner, must be hell.

"Thank God" Leave already! that way I can turn "your" show off and not the View. Your loud, abnoxious comedy ways are not appreciated by the viewers, and the incident of mocking of the Asian people is unforgivable.
