Are you ready for some bad singing? Eh, forget that
American Idol crap. The much-hyped
Scrubs musical is tomorrow night. For a whole half hour, you can watch perfectly respectable/paid actors attempt to harmonize! Actually, I am kind-of curious to see who is a good singer. Something tells me either the Janitor or Bob Kelso is going to bring down the house. What I really want is some head-banging, hateful music from pregnant Jordan.
We've got a clip after the jump of one of the musical numbers from tomorrow night's episode. You may have already seen this, as NBC released it last year. It's a super-creepy ballad with J.D. and Turk called "Guy Love".
Look for another clip tomorrow!

I think this is the first time since the Drew Carey show that a sitcom tried something this crazy.

I really liked the Buffy musical episode so chances are I'll like this one too. Cheesy musicals rule.

"I am kind-of curious to see who is a good singer."
We basically know who is a good singer from past episodes - even though this is the first "official" musical, there have been many other instances of singing:
Donald Faison has sung in many episodes, and of course Sam Lloyd's (Ted) voice is featured in his a capella group. We heard almost everyone (including Neil Flynn) sing in "My Philosophy," when they end with a mini-musical (led by a heart transplant patient). Another mini-musical in an ep about surgeons vs. docs showed John McGinley's (very strong) and Zach's (adequate) singing. Judy Reyes and Ted serenaded a coma patient, and Ken Jenkins sang his country ditty in "My Tuscaloosa Heart." When everyone had "Respect" by Erasure in their heads, we heard almost everyone including Todd sing a little portion of the song.
The cast has joked that the one who can't sing is Sarah Chalke, which we saw evidenced by her rendition of "Lollypop" a couple of episodes ago.
I think that about does it!!
