Matt and Meredith already bail at 9:00am. I don't think I can stomach Al Roker for more than an hour as one of the main anchors.

I canT believe it ther cancelling Passions for another talk show there is enough shows of people whinng about there problems.I hate shows like that I hurry and rush home to see Passions its not like a soap it remindes me of Dark Shadows and I liked it. It figures ther would be one show I never misss and like and its gone. Thanks alot!!!!

Passions has always been a unique show, and deserves to stay on the air. It has obviously been on this long due to NBC realizing that it had a big and loyal fan base.
As far as an extended Today Show goes, I would rather stab a hot needle into my eye than watch nine hours of THAT show...It has gone downhill big time since Katie Couric left...

I am sad "Passions" will be cancelled. It is such a fun show (even for we older folk). It is more like a comic strip, but we love it! Please reconsider. We don't need more of the Today show.

I don't watch Passions, but the blogger was wrong
about The Today Show's time length. It's going to be
4 hours long, not 9. If it went past that mark, we'd
miss the rest of NBC's afternoon schedule.

i have had been watching passions when they frist got on in july1999. And I love to watch them and i never missed single shows! Rick, it's called a joke!

And why don't they show Live With Regis and the Ass at 9am? Then they can do The Today Show Now! on at 10am that deals with cooking (almost wrote coking) and so on.

Might as well start a TV show called "Tomorrow" because the show is gonig to run that long. Hell why not change MSNBC to Today the Network!

There are so many better things to do than this, but I like the idea of canning Passion.

My daughter and I love watching Passions and will truly miss it I don't know what I'll watch in it's place since I don't like the other shows at 2:00pm. I
hope they don't mess up and pull Days then that would be just to crazy. Can we get passions on another channel so we don't miss it? What can these news people be talking about for 9 hours the same news every hour thats just silly.

whatever time length it will be on is to long.
please keep passion but find another time slot same channel or different one to pick it up. Idea hum.
That way all the nice people on the soap will be able to keep there jobs. Oh there's always soap net too.
They have some old shows on that channel. Let Passions
be on the soap net.

NBC has a history of cancelling decent soaps. NBC is losing hte soap market. Instead of canning Passions why not Days.... that is definatly one that outlived it's usefulness.

This news does not surprise me. What does surprise me is that they cancelled Another World, a long-running show with a loyal fan base- to make way for this idiotic farce that did absolutely nothing to promote the daytime genre. If you are an AW fan you know what I am saying. What a joke! Passions sucked...Good riddance.
RIP Another World- still much missed.
