Several different web sites are reporting that Kiefer Sutherland had a wild adventure with his alter ego, Jack Bauer.
A plastic, action figure version of Bauer, that is.
The story goes like this:
Sutherland reportedly took a prototype of a Jack Bauer action figure for a night out on the town. But plastic Jack didn't fare so well after 11 p.m., when Kiefer & Co. started torturing our beloved CTU agent, including setting the action figure on fire.
"We got up the next day and there was this puddle of wax," Sutherland is quoted as saying.
The release of the Bauer action figure was announced earlier this month by McFarlane Toys. The toy is set to go on sale this summer, retailing for $10-12, according to USA Today. The action figure is wielding a gun and wearing a bulletproof vest.
I wonder, however, if it's impervious to being set afire by drunken carousers.

These websites seem to be taking credit for this "scoop" themselves.
In reality, Sutherland told the story on a late-night talk show last week. (I think it was "The Tonight Show," but it may have been Letterman or Conan.)

I will be sure to get my "Jack BAuer" action figure for myself and my son. No one could be Jack Bauer like Keifer Sutherland. He is Jack Bauer and he is "24". I loved the show and it keeps my on my toes and quiet for the whole time.

He told the story on Late Show with Craig Ferguson. It was hilarious to hear him tell it. Apparently he has a lot of fun with the boys when he goes out as this story was told AFTER the other one where he tackled the 12 foot Christmas Tree (they even showed video of that event.)

This action figure will be able to beat any other action figure. Even GI Joe. He has a reserved spot on my desk next to my Buddy Chirst(Dogma) box. and My BOB and Ted cubes.
( http://www.cubefigures.com/home.html ). He'll keep them all in line. Yes, I am a geek and proud of it.
