Bravo announced a plateload of new shows and seasons coming down the pipeline this year. They include returning seasons of Top Chef, The Real Desperate Housewives, and the final season of Queer Eye. New show lineups include Shear Genius, a reality competition show involving hair-dos and hair-dont's, Tim Gunn's Guide to Style, which is all about makeovers and fashion, and a new show that will follow American Idol judge Paula Abdul around on a daily basis, showing us all what her life is like. Hopefully we'll find out what sort of wacky meds or liquid libations she has before each episode. Fingers crossed.Slew of old & new reality shows coming from Bravo - TCA Report

Does anyone still remember when Bravo (and A&E, for that matter) had the best television had to offer? Before cheesy, junky, cheap reality shows took them over? I guess that ship has sailed. You'd think there would be room for ONE cable network that still aspired to that.

A&E (Formerly Arts and Entertainment) and Bravo have discovered a much more lucrative business model in reality shows, than their previous line of sophisticated "high brow" programming of the past. However, I would like to see reality shows of higher caliber on A&E and Bravo, rather than season after season of previously aired stale shows (Top Chef, Work Out, King of Cars, The Real Desperate...et al).
