As part of February sweeps, last year's American Idol runner-up Katharine McPhee is going to guest-star on Ugly Betty. McPhee will be playing herself, a celebrity guest at Mode's Fashion Week runway show, in an episode entitled "I'm Coming Out". No word yet on whether or not this hour will be Justin-centric... Oh, c'mon, don't tell me I was the only one that read the title and immediately thought of him. McPhee's appearance will air February 1 (8:00 PM EST). Hmm... Sounds like ABC wants a little bit of FOX's American Idol glow. Also, McPhee is probably doing this to promote her self-titled debut album, which drops later this month.

well by the word justin centric, i take it they mean justin timberlake. And as such, are they impling from the episode name "I'm coming out" that Justin is a closeted homosexual. By They I mean Annie Wu the one who posted the piece. That would be funny if it were cause I always thought he was Bi sexual but more inclined to the male than female side. I dont know, I like him I think he's great, but it's this vibe I get from him. He is a good guy all around so by now means is this meant as an attack but a curiousity if anything

no! not justin timberlake. here's a write-up from Wikipedia that should clarify: Justin Suarez is the son of Hilda and is Betty's nephew. While his mother tries to convince his Aunt Betty to try a line of work other than the fashion industry, Justin supports Betty and convinces her to continue and pursue her dreams. Justin is quite fashion conscious and exhibits model-like behavior, such as commenting on his own body image and being food conscious. This behavior concerns Hilda, who would rather see Justin act more like a "normal" boy.

Well no surprise. That is really what she wants to do anyway. That is why she had come back to try out for AI..she was working on getting on pilots for TV.
I don't think she was ever really that serious about her music but it just happened to be something that was use to get seen. She has alot of conncections and I am not sure why she took up a space someone could have had on the show. She expected to win it and has been working overtime to make sure she gets what she wants. I don't think it is right everyone gave in to her putting her cd out so she could distance herself
and now it is answered. This was probably planned to go back to back with her release date. She did tell in an interview that she picked the release date.
I don't see what the hype is about the show anyway. I have tried to watch it several times but not impressed. With the headline I think it speaks for itself.
