If ratings are any indication, Rosie O'Donnell appears to be winning the stupid public feud with Donald Trump. Since Trump went off on Rosie, ratings for The View have been up. The show is up 13% in overall viewers and 23% in women 18-49. ABC chalks the ratings increase up to Rosie's... ahem... personality. The network downplays her public feuds with Trump, Kelly Ripa and the Chinese, but all the media coverage seems to be helping.Ironically, ratings are down for The Apprentice. We all know that the only reason Trump is sounding off is to get viewers to watch his show, but it appears to have backfired as the viewers are opting for Rosie instead. Even Trump's move to Los Angeles and his constant nagging of Rosie couldn't pull his series from its slump. Sunday night's premiere averaged about 9 million viewers.
By the way, here's the latest from Trump. Gawker has a faxed letter, allegedly from Trump to Rosie. It sounds like something one of those chicks from Laguna Beach would write... if they were literate.

Well, first of all no one wins this feud - they;re both losers. Secondly, trump has allowed Rosie to change the whole point - her ridiculous criticism of his handling of the Miss USA issue. She was out of line in every way when she attacked him and Miss USA, and that should be what trump reminds people of - that Rosie is a judgmental jerk who runs her mouth before she thinks.

His ratings have nothing to do with this "feud" (which smells really cooked to me, on both sides), but rather the fact that The Apprentice was a tired show by the middle of the 2nd season.
Why do you think they moved it to LA? In hopes of a new locale to boost ratings.
Why does no one care? Because the show stinks.

Donald sounded like a professional wrestler promising to retire from wrestling if he didn't beat the heel wrestler in a pay per view show. His pageants stink his allowing Jennifer Hawkins and Tara Conner remaining as his beauty queens Jennifer for wearing thong underwear when her skirt fell down during a fashion show and Tara for her bad behaviour. Rosie was only calling it like it is. The truth just plain hurts.

George, it's funny you mention professional wrestling, since on the WWE Raw show Monday night, there was a sketch about the Rosie/Trump feud. The sketch was as stupid as the feud itself. Granted, wrestling is not a bastion of intelligence but it is entertaining. This "celeb" war of words is not.

Rosie is obviously winning cause I have never watched the View until she came on-it's fascinating that someone that can't control herself is on TV-and for him, im not surprised at his behavior-he has no class, and he behaved very poorly with Martha Stewart also.
I see he has never tried to defend himself against Rosie's remarks about his cheatin' ways! And it is downright unprofessional to call anyone fat and ugly-I wonder what overweight, or lesbian, employees of his companies think of him-must be pretty scary to work for him.

The WWE fued may go further as I read Trump may challenge McMannon in some way.
I thought the fight on WWE was boring but the before fight impersinations was kind of funny.. I liked how "Rosie" had to have her fudgy the whale cake as a stip to be on the show.

Shame on the Donald, he is a very powerful man, and he had to pick on Rosie's opinion. This is crazy !!!!

Rosie is rude and abrasive. The fact that she attacked Trump for backing a beauty pagent winner(something Rosie will never be) while most thought she would be dethroned only shows her pettiness and jealousy that no one finds her attractive. Do us all a favor Rosie and stuff another Twinkie in your mouth so we don't have to be subjected to your overly inflated opinion.

Rosie is within her limits. The Trumph can,t stand it because his rating for his show is lower than the view. I think he will cont' to be a bully to The View and Rosie. Thank you Babara for being a stand up person. We all have liked you for years and brought us good and bad news. As for me I will be watching the View because it brings us news and comedy. As for Trumph ,I will not watch.
I also think the glbt will support The View ,because we believe we have a part of us of us represented on the View ,thanks to Rosie and Barbar. Keep doing what you do and also remain as professial as you can, we know the Trump can,t,when he is loosing

Rosie was fun to watch on the View, but now I don't like looking at her make sneering faces to the camera and sounding like fool. Trump should have made no remarks to her view of him, because we all loath the man. He is boring, creepy looking with his weird comb-over, a viagra popping dirty old man. It is gross watching these ugly old, very rich men like Hugh Hefner & Trump jump on the bones of extremly beautiful young women.

Well if Rosie didn't mishandle the Iraq War and coach the Knicks into the ground she wouldn't of had to worry about Donald getting stuck into her!
Didn't Trump pull a similar stunt before the start of the last season of the Apprentice with Martha Stewart? He's just trying to drum up the ratings for his failing show (which wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't so horribly miscast for the last five seasons).

Curt has it right. The show is tired. This feud may have garnered enough viewers to keep the Apprentice from being beaten by cable shows. The show has been slipping the last few seasons. It should have been a once a year show from the start.
Rosie is gaining viewers to the View, but with her antics and disengage brain first then speak personality, she is taking the show toward Springerville. Mind you it is nowhere near as bad as springer, but it went from a dull show that talked about topics to a show that is guided by whatever Rosie decides to blab out. Hell, swap her with Anne Coulter and you would have the same mindless controversial drivel bringing in the big ratings. Scratch that, put the two of them on the show together and you will have a ratings juggernaut.

Rosie and Ann Coulter on the View?
That would be like Thunderdoom... Two women enter and no come out alive.
Ohhhh maybe we have a live action celebrity death match with Rosie vs Trump/Coulter!

As said before, I am no fan of Rosie, but the fact is Donald Trump fights like a 2 year old (Nah nah-nah). Everything Trump said about Rosie is true about HIMSELF (Fat, unattractive and not so smart). Everything Rosie said about Don Trump, failed marriages (CHEATER), Bankruptcies, and a ridiculous comb-over are all TRUE...That's the bottom line and someone finally had the guts to say it. Trump is delusional and rotten to the core, and how he is handling the situation is proof.
